I'm gutted for my friend. She had come all the way from Newcastle to collect VIP tickets for the wireless festival worth 250 quid each day. She's been given 45 quid tickets and told that was a mistake, there's no VIP left. The package was supposed to include drinks and food etc. I'm gutted as well cos I was so looking forward to seats for Pulp!!

How disappointing Sad
How did she win the tickets?

katkitya · 01/07/2011 12:00

Through Wii. I'm at work so can't help. She wouldn't have come down otherwise

Does she have any proof that they said she had won the VIP tickets? Email/letters?

MadYoungCatLady · 01/07/2011 12:07

Can't see that Wii have a leg to stand on here. She needs to get on the phone and tell them its not on and they nee to sort it out now.

katkitya · 01/07/2011 12:20

She's oy met with a third party. Hyde park opens at 2pm. No emails just a phone call three days ago to say shed won. What can she do

Where did she have to pick the tickets up from? I'd be tempted to go back there - if she was told she was getting VIP, she should have got VIP, or if they had run out then the equivelant of VIP. They should not have run out anyway! This is not right and they are trying to pull a fast one!

SloganLogan · 01/07/2011 12:43

It doesn't sound right. Try asking on the forums at www.loquax.co.uk/ as well - there are lot of experienced "compers" there!

I'm at work!!! I feel so helpless. She's never even been to london before. They couriered her normal tickets she rang and complained. They assured her that she could pick up the right ones this morning. She met him at the train station, I don't think I was an office. I wouldn't be surprised if he's kept the right ones for his mates

I googled Nintendo Wii public relations/customer relations and all I could get is:

Telephone: +44 (0)870 6060247 (Calls charged at National Rate)

I'd ring it and find out who you should be speaking to. Urgently!

katkitya · 01/07/2011 13:16

What do you thing to saying she will go to the press?

It's illegal to do as Wii have done. The folk at Money Saving Experts forum will be able to advise, I'm sure.

katkitya · 01/07/2011 18:51

she wont beable to do anything now though as she's taken the cheap tickets and its the weekend. I was so looking forward to the free bar and food and old lady seats on Sunday. Pulp are the only band Ive never got to see Sad. Now, I will have to join in with the Common People Blush
