I was in a 50 mph head on RTA at 34 weeks pregnant. My van was written off, I was bumped, battered, bruised and only able to get about by crawling, for a couple of weeks, yet baby within was just fine. They really are resilient Zoe Smile try not to fret about Wednesday but good luck nonetheless.

SchrodingersMew · 27/06/2011 18:48

I had problems with my ex being violent, after getting them out one time because I was terrified after he was drunk and hit me. I foolishly told them I didn't want to press charges and they insisted on giving him a warning.

I don't really see any reason not to believe the OP, and some EPU's take ages to scan. If she really is telling the truth then picking her story to bits trying to find fault is awful.

Granted, I'm not too sure I believe she actually went to A+E, probably just called the EPU, but even still, if she was attacked the last thing she needs is everyone screaming troll. Hmm

emmanumber3 · 27/06/2011 22:18

Why are people surprised that an EPU would offer an appointment for a scan on a different day? I had my routine 12 week scan on a Friday morning when it became apparent that I had had a MMC. That was only an ultrasound in the antenatal department though - I had to wait until the following Tuesday for a more detailed scan & appointment at EPU to "be sorted out". As someone else has said, hospitals do seem very reluctant to perform early scans anyway, unless there has been/is bleeding or history of several previous MCs Hmm. IME, saying to come back on Wednesday sounds quite normal.

xstitch · 28/06/2011 11:08

I'm not surprised either emma. I started with problems on a Friday and was asked to come back on the next Wednesday not even the Monday, and I was bleeding.

ILoveYouToo · 28/06/2011 13:54

Hope your scan is fine tomorrow OP.
