Go on Mumsnetters do your worst. I'm putting DS to bed and I expect 6 pages of 'grow up, who wants to camp out in the rain, anybody who goes to a festival over 25 is clearly deranged and immature' when I come back please.

Hoping this will do the trick :o

Can't help you I'm afraid - I feel exactly the same. This is the first year I haven't been in a long time. Took my then 5 month old DS last year and had a great time, but couldn't really afford it this year and am feeling totally miserable about it!

bringmesunshine2009 · 24/06/2011 20:22

You would start calling it 'Glasto'.

Then I'd have to kill you.

Bunbaker · 24/06/2011 20:27

Looking out of the window at the rain while wrapped up in warm clothes doesn't make me wish I was at Glastonbury. Camping in mud, queues for loos - no not for me.

That's the spirit bringmesunshine. Anyone else?

Actually I meant bunbaker. I don't call it Glasto . Although I may have referred to it as such on here once I think. Clearly I don't deserve to be there for that reason alone.

Just realised there is a whole Glastonbury hatred thread going already. Please come over here and shout at me!

am furious. i havent done a festival for years. i would very much love to be there. despite the weather.

MadameBoo · 24/06/2011 21:57

Maybe we should just call this the Glastonbury support thread and have done with it. I don't know why I watch it. I haven't been for 7 years and my sulking gets worse every year. Gah.

yanbu.

It is awfully muddy though. I certainly don't care to repeat my muddy Glastonbury experiences, 97 + 98.

MadameBoo · 24/06/2011 22:05

I didn't go those years - I was too skint. Went every year from 1993 -2004 though. Apart from those ones.

It's going to be really sunny for the rest of the weekend though and it will be all be fine.

It was very 'lord of the flies' in those days. Lots of tent burning and theft.

My sister went the year someone got shot.

Looks much nicer these days.

MadameBoo · 24/06/2011 22:41

I was there that year too. My Mum was desperately worried. I thought it was just a festival rumour until I got home.

brightidea · 24/06/2011 22:51

ahh. havent been in a while.

tend to do littler festies these days - too many kids to worry about!

am drinking vintage h/m plum vodka in the garden with a bonfire thou

LCRLCR · 25/06/2011 12:54

I wish I was there too. Texts from my drunk and muddy mates are making me cry. I go every year including last year at 7 months prego but with a 10 month old crawler, thought it would be too much of a headache this year - now I'm aching with regret :-(

MadameBoo · 25/06/2011 13:12

LCRLCR 2 of my mates went last year both pregnant. Are you one of them? :o

listening to Adam and Joe on 6 whilst cleaning the fridge isnt quite cutting it for me.

Too many frigging status updates from mates who are there - will you just drop your smart phone in the mud and enjoy yourself - its making me jealous!
