I posted in the legal section, and althought I got a very welcome response, wanted to post here as well to see if I got more advice!
In a nutshell: car crashed by valet company, fixed by owner of said company. Got car back, not fixed properly. My insurance company are being awkward, saying that the valet company's insurance should be dealing with it. My garage says there is at least £1250 worth of damage to be fixed still. It is still drivable.
The owner of said valet company is ignoring my calls. I know he will be liable for the cost of repairing my vehicle, but I don't know if I should pay out and then sue him for all costs, or try to get him on the phone. He has been on holiday, but this happened 4 weeks ago. I wanted to get a solicitor to send him a letter, but it would cost £400, so don't want to go down that route unless I really need to.
Please if anyone has any advice, would be greatly appreciated!
