To not wear high heels for fear of making DH look short?

I'm 5'7 and a half, he's 5'10"... He prefers me looking shorter than him but I'm sick of wearing flat shoes TBH, would like a little glamour now and then!

You could go for a small kitten heel or a wedge, still elongating you legs without towering over him!

Get him some inserts

OOOOH! I'm 5'7", hubby is 5'8" and I haven't had heels on since meeting him 10 years ago! I'm dying for some height!!!!!

If you want to wear heels then wear them! It's not like you're going to tower over him anyway, as there are 2 1/2 '' between you.

I'm 5'5 and dp is 5'4 but luckily I'm a trainers type normally

He finds it sexy when I feel good, and if that means heels then so be it and I usually let him talk me into a short skirt to go with

Ha! Yes Tom does prefer to be the centre of attention.. he's requested Suri stop wearing her heels in the very near future, she's up to his shoulder already

My exbf is my height, and I'm 5'2.
He loved it when I wore heels, as he thought me hot in them.
We met for lunch recently, and I wore heels, why would I not?

I had no problem with him being short, and neither did he.
He's not insecure about his height at all.

I'm 5'6. Several of my exes have been 5'7-5'9. None of them ever had an issue with me wearing heels, in fact some positively encouraged it. I used to feel a bit uncomfortable sometimes, esp if in v high heels.

The last person I was involved with was just over 6', and I quite liked the height difference

DH and I are both 5'4 - I wear heels all the time. He's not bothered on the grounds that, at his height, trying to create any visual illusion of height is clearly a waste of time. He does get annoyed when people bang on about short man complex - his height has never bothered him, but lots of people are happy to assume it does!

OP, I don't understand why your DH is insecure about his height at 5'10?

I'm 6ft. My husband is the same height. Sometimes I wear heel & sometimes I don't.

If your husband prefers you looking shorter perhaps he should be the one to alter his height?

Agree with Sunshine - your husband needs to get himself some even higher heels if he's worried.

Sashay out with pride! And when the grumbling starts, from your DH or anyone else, point out that his DNA is not your problem. Anyway, you'd practically be the same height even if you broke out the big heels. Tell the big wet to belt up.

Do NOT wear kitten heels - they are so ugly. I'm 5'9" and DH is 6'. I wear heels occasionally and stand with my head held high. DH doesn't mind but did request that I didn't wear huge heels on our wedding day (which was a bugger as my dress was ballerina length and all the prettiest shoes were high ones). Go and buy a gorgeous pair of shoes. I can't see that your DH would mind you towering above hime now and again and you can always wear them out with your mates.

I can understand how your dh feels - but I have an irrational thing about being taller than your dp. Luckily it will never be a problem for me and dh unless I break out the stilts - he's 6'2 and I'm just 5'4.
