That's it really. Got up, did a few bits of cleaning but have now stopped to watch the build up.

Grin

Go on, flame me Wink

God no, YANBU! Tennis not so much my thing, but when the Olympics come around I will be exactly the same, any event, at any time, as many as possible! I will hold on, it will be a bumpy ride of flaming! Enjoy yourself

fuckmepinkandcallmerosie · 20/06/2011 11:19

Grin it's not even this years tennis yet though, it is a review of last year Wink

JudysJudgement · 20/06/2011 11:24

you are terribly unreasonable even wanting to watch anything tennis related

the mere mention of it has me rushing to the radio/telly off switch

and andy hasnt got a hope in hell, as usual :)

TheStallionOfSensibleness · 20/06/2011 11:25

Stallion - what's wrong with my name and what has it got to do with my posting about watching the tele?

And Judy - wash your mouth out.

Gawd, no. If I wasn't in work (having quick tea break now, so no need for judgey pants to be donned in relation to me) then I would be doing the same. I love it, and I was singing the BBC theme tune all my way to work this morning. I will ahve to content myself with 'Today at Qimbledon' tonight on BBC2. I have been known to take all of Wimbledon fortnight off work just to watch it on TV uninterrupted.

kenbarlowslovestick · 20/06/2011 12:10

yabu on the jammy dodgers im on a bloody diet and sat here with a rice cake Envy am definatly not watching the tennis though its shit Smile

peachyuk · 20/06/2011 12:13

i'm watching it but haven't got a clue what the rules are?

but it beats the usual daytime tv crap

fuckmepinkandcallmerosie · 20/06/2011 12:13

The kids and DP know this is take away dinners and no cleaning fortnight Grin

FlamingFannyDrawers · 20/06/2011 12:24

Yanbu. I love it, I have a thing for Roger Federer.

fuckmepinkandcallmerosie · 20/06/2011 12:25

Andy and Rafa all the way. With a little bit of Andy Roddick thrown in for good measure Wink

LOVE Wimbledon fortnight! Can become troublesome when the likes of Andy Murray ends up in a long match which takes us into the kids bedtime routine. But they can fend for themselves Grin

Thoroughly enjoyed the celebration of 125 years of Wimbledon on the telly last night. Especially when it showed clips of the old games between Connor and McEnroe. I remember watching them when I was little. I've always loved tennis, even as a kid. It's fun getting my ds's 6 and 4 into it too. They've got to join me when I start screaming "Come on Andy!!!"

HappyAsIAm · 20/06/2011 12:32

Rafaaaaa! Rafaaaaa! Though I would lend my full support to Andy Murray if it were ever a contest between the two on the grass. Soooooo excited. And trying to work out whether there is any realistic chance of buying tickets on Ticketmaster for the following day's play.

fuckmepinkandcallmerosie · 20/06/2011 12:32

I remember my mother flipping her lid with me when we were on holiday and I wouldn't go outside into the sunshine because I was watching Borg v McEnroe. Yes I am that old Grin

I warned my neighbour yesterday that I was sorry in advance for the yelling at the tv which will occur over the next 2 weeks

Dunno where mrsdonkeybucket is; she was all over the French Open. Hope she turns up for a chat!

God I love Wimbledon. I'm a freelance and I usually pray for work, but during Wimbledon fortnight I hope to God not to get any, and silently curse anyone who does offer me jobs. Smile

fuckmepinkandcallmerosie · 20/06/2011 12:41

I have told DP that he is on dinner duty tonight. He suggested going out for tea, I have told him that's fine him and the DD's can carry on Grin

WTF is with that woman's man shorts that's playing Venus?

OP posts:
TennisFan · 20/06/2011 12:54

Stop you're all making me jealous - I dont get home from work until 2pm today.
I watch tennis on TV all year round - but Wimbledon coverage is the best by a miile.

FlamingFannyDrawers · 20/06/2011 12:55

At a glance the Williams game on the now looks like mens singles. Wtf is Venus wearing too? Net curtain jumpsuit.

lainey1981 · 20/06/2011 12:57

So happy I am on maternity leave. This year 2 whole weeks of tennis to scream, shout, and whoop at.
