as for the 'golden shours' sounds very 'World Service' circa 1950 to me

at least you can get blimmin' radio - try being in a building that for some reason cuts out all FM waves, and will only let me receive LW - and not even good LW stations - I can get Absolute, but it keeps playing songs that children should not hear, and Gold, which has a playlist of about 30 songs, and plays them over and over again.
it is not unknown to hear the same song every hour.
