Hi, I'd like to take a few minutes of your time to talk about a condition that really, really, needs widespread recognition.

I'm talking about EDD
Or Empathy Deficit Disorder

Symptoms can include:

1)Believing what you read in the Daily Mail

2)Voting Conservative

3)Posting judgemental shite on parenting forums.

4)Complete inability to step into another's shoes and feel some sympathy for their circumstances.

If you score more than three out of four, you too, may have EDD.

Thanks for reading.

Don't tell me MissMap - some of your best friends are goats, right?
(shakes head sadly)

Symptoms (1) and (2) betray a lack of empathy on the part of the OP.

Judge not lest ye be judged.Grin

MrsDeVere,
Those people want to watch what they're doing.
They don't want to be prosecuted for Misuse of The Goat
(ooh-er)

Wow ok then, of course there's a ready and waiting.

Dougie (Buster) is a real old mate of mine IRL, but I'm sure he won't mind his band's name being given prominence!

nickelbabe · 15/06/2011 15:36

sheep are harder to look after.

I want an alpaca.

MrsTerryPratchett · 15/06/2011 15:37

Llamas and alpacas are the work of the devil and are out to get us, you mark my words...

Can we sell the milk and wool.

MadameOvary · 15/06/2011 15:45

Alpacas are harder to get. You have to meet the criteria and it's tough. Very low fraud rate with alpacas.

My brother displays most of the signs of suffering with EDD Sad and I'd like to get him a guide goat to help him manage better in society, however I'm concerned that he just isn't sensitive enough to the needs and feelings of another living creature to be able to care for it properly...

I think his only hope is that perhaps someone could develop a robot guide goat. Are there any charities set up to help fund research into this area? I'd be prepared to donate generously. I just can't take any more conversations about paedo-asylum-seeking terrorists who are out to steal his job!

BelleDameSansMerci · 15/06/2011 15:48

How about a yak? Can we have yaks?

Ormirian · 15/06/2011 15:50

i think there should be more empathy-dogs. Dogs who can show empathy and understanding when the owners are incapable.

MissMap · 15/06/2011 16:10

What about empathy sniffer dogs? They bite your partner then sniff you to see if you feel their pain.
(pit bulls would be best)

MrSpoc · 15/06/2011 16:12

instead of a goat I would like a Dolphin with a helmet on that allows it to breath on land so we can both take over the world. (I may have a little EDD).

Omigawd · 15/06/2011 16:14

Stepping out...think I'll get my goat.

ReindeerBollocks · 15/06/2011 16:16

I score four out of four. This magnificent achievement entitles me to a meerkat. None of your shoddy benefits goats, I'm well and truly living the dream.

Plus, my meerkat works (not legally mind), double score.

Oh shit, now I'm confused! I don't have a goat, but I've got 2 of the symptoms of EDD - so am I suffering from it, or not???????

If I am, then I want a goat.

If I'm not, then I still want a goat.

Help!!!!!!

MadameOvary · 15/06/2011 17:47

I'm afraid you have to score more than 3 out of 4, so no goat for you. Sad

Goats are good

Goats are good

at stealing grass

I must write to my MP (and the Fail) about this matter before there is no more grass

machineoflovinggrace · 15/06/2011 17:54

What about that Billygoat Piper glamourising prostitution, the grass isn't always green for these goats, some have to do it to feed their weed habit.

Don't let it get your goat, OP.

MadameOvary · 15/06/2011 18:26

Glad to see some empathy regarding goats with addiction. ^^

OP posts:
allegrageller · 15/06/2011 18:30

I have tons of empathy for addicted goats.

When it comes to those bloody feckless single-mum scroungers with their heroin habits, massive great plasma tvs, hordes of noisy children in designer gear, hoovering up my hard -earned taxpayers money wot I want to spend on plasma tvs and holidays for MYSELF plsthanx- no empathy whatever :D

Mabelface · 15/06/2011 18:39

Some of these goats are claiming benefits illegally. They're putting on a limp so they can go on the sick.
