Just spent last last half hour mincing veg and boiling rice for stuffed peppers this evening. I turned my back for TWO SECONDS and he had scoffed all the rice. AND THEN had the cheek to ask where it was.

Am, now boiling a second batch of rice at 8.45 on a week night for these bloody peppers and he is "pretending" he is going to scoff the rest of the prepared ingredients.

So, Was IBU to tell him that if he touches the dinner again I will chop his willy off?!

He just waved it at me. Toser.

You need earrings. A very fetching pair of round ball shaped earrings.

Salad cream? In an omelette?

chicletteeth · 13/06/2011 20:51

I'd be mad too, but I agree with Madam - the adding of ingredients which fucks up a dish is way worse.

A few years back, I had had just finished cooking a delightful concontion (pan-fried duck breasts in a red wine and red currant reduction with mushrooms and creme fraiche) which took me a a good 30 minutes then the bastard decided it needed some onions so chopped a whole big white one and threw it in about three minutes before it was due to be served. He also completely stirred it in and the proceeded to deny it

[hmmm]

lolol Madam. My mother often cites as a reason for divorcing my dad his habit of stealing into the kitchen and "just adding some leftover bacon" to almost everything she cooked. Ditto "the spinach from last night" and "the end of that wine bottle".

DirtyMartini · 13/06/2011 20:53

(And I mean they did actually divorce, years ago - not just idle threat - although not just about the bacon)

HannahHack · 13/06/2011 20:53

DP no longer does the whole, what about if we added....

I would threaten to chop his willy off if he did.

My DH once poured almost half a bottle of red wine into a soup I was making, on the basis that we didn't have any white open and surely it would be the same?

Confused

I nearly beheaded him with the wooden spoon such was my rage.

Since then we cook separately, as he is actually a very good cook which made it all the more bewildering.

mistressploppy · 13/06/2011 22:01

YABU. How insensitive to post this when there may be people on here whose DHs have lost their willies in freak accidents

OP... I was wondering what your husband was touching the dinner with... just look at your thread title... Confused

Fun and games at your house tonight then.. a good sharp thwack with a spatula usually has the desired affect... Grin

YABU to be stuffing a pepper on a week night!

HannahHack · 13/06/2011 22:19

Right DP has seen this thread and is threatening to call Men's Aid.
