have finally got through to HMRC informing them that we r earning over the £40k will i still get payment on friday

a tax credits payment was due to go into my account friday
will it still
how long does it take for payments to stop?

i only informed them today payment due in 4 days

lady on the phone said it would take a few wks didnt mention straightway
aware that i will probably have to pay back
