to wonder when MNHQ introduced the policy to delete threads simply because people are disagreeing?

I was just on a thread.
There was a disagreement over whether or not something was racist/offensive.

I could see no personal attacks, there was nothing that breached the talk guidelines.
I have no idea why the thread has been deleted.

So i can only assume it was because there was a disagreement on it.

Is this a new policy? Will we be seeing the vast majority of all threads being deleted now then?

ShirleyKnot · 11/06/2011 19:28

""my kind" shirley-you are really tripping yourself up with your use of language there me thinks. Oh and feck off yourself. READ my post again-didnt accuse you of racism.Said I didnt like the tone the thread as was all very nasty and cliquey-not the light hearted fun you are making it out to be. Deny it all you want but I am not the only poster who thought this. The only one who stands up for herself at this moment sadly."

"MY KIND" - Please provide the full quote where I used that phrase.

Oh and the rest of you post reads like "ah feckoffIFeelLikeNothingBecauseIBoreTheShitOffEveryone"

With a sad little twist of "I am the silent majority"

In fact, I wonder why I bother to respond...Oh yeah - try paragraphs, it will help you look less like an uneducated arse and maybe I'll bother to quote you again.

Because this is the last time.

pink4ever · 11/06/2011 19:34

shirley-an ill-educated arse? My first class law degree may beg to differ but who cares?. Please dont quote me as I feel there is no need and I care not a jot. "chip on my shoulder"?-eh no. I dont want to be in the gang/clique. As I already pointed out think its all rather sad and pathetic.
The point I was trying to make is that too many posters imo back down or change their view points when turned on by the majority especially if said majority contains well known posters. I wont.End off.

Fifis25StottieCakes · 11/06/2011 19:34

I'm not fucking joking. You bore the actual shit out of me PINK4EVER.

You bore on darling, I won't be reading and because I am a racist bullying MN Royalty I expect the POWER WHICH I HOLD will render you invisible.

HA HA HA

Fifis25StottieCakes · 11/06/2011 19:38

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 11/06/2011 19:39

Ancient MN proverb
Posters who boast about their academic qualifications are rarely as qualified as they claim to be.

LadyBeagleEyes · 11/06/2011 19:40

From what I gathered from the thread, Beesimo was accused of erm slightly exaggerating about her Romany/farmers wife life style. Since I've always taken her posts with a pinch of salt, I accused her of being a character from a Catherine Cookson novel and took the piss out of her very 19th century Northern accent.
To which Hully or somebody sang Any Old Irons or something stereotypically Londonish.
And then we all had a lovely old sing song.
I loved that thread and I'm the least royal person you could meet in spite of my title.Smile
It was funny, for fucks sake.

balloonballs · 11/06/2011 19:40

Pink dahlink, you really are making a leetle bit of a fool of yourself.

Step away from the computer for the love of all that is holy and lawful.

Please, thank you.

TandB · 11/06/2011 19:41

[Accepts offer of chapstick and liberally applies it around arse area]

I actually prefer to take it than give it.

[presents nicely chapsticked arse to Chickenshavenoeyebrows]

pink4ever · 11/06/2011 19:41

shirley-yawn.Try harder if you want to get me off a thread dearie. I dont scare easily. I will concede bringing my first class degree into it was tiresome but was purely in response to being called uneducated.

tifflins · 11/06/2011 19:41

can i just say, what the fuck are you all on about? am newbie. its as if this mumsnet lark is more important than real life (or should i say RL). i mean, none of you actually know each other in real life, do you?
