My Child keeps coming back from nursery with her clothes covered in felt

About two months ago the nursery my child attends bought new felts. Apparently they were completely washable. 10 pieces of clothes and 3 complaints later it is still happening!!!
Incidendentally I am paying £960 a month for this. Ahhhh

YABU - send her to nursery in clothes that you don't mind getting messed up a bit - no big problem - children will get pen and paint over them when they're little.

I have provided them with an apron and old tops to put over. Apparently everyone has been told she has to wear an apron, but it is still happening

I would just send her in the felt tipped clothes - obviously washed!!

Make sure that the clothes are not expensive and take pleasure in the fact he/she is having lots of fun for your £960!!

Have nursery clothes and home clothes. Children will get messy, that's what nursery is all about.

Surely you can just send your child in wearing the already felt stained clothes.

You are paying for her care, for her development, you are NOT paying for her to be sat down with a book for 8 hours a day and not allowed to touch anything messy. Nurseries - good ones - don't treat children like that, no matter what their silly parents want.

Send her to nursery in the clothes that already have Felt tip on them, and if that means not enough clothes, go to a jumbl;e sale or charity shop and BUY her some clothes for playing in.

So, yes, to answer your question, you are being unreasonable.

keep nursery clothes separate, buy cheaper clothes for nursery, darker colours what does it matter if they get marked if she is enjoying herself she is not going there to parade her clothes.

They won't have been told she has to wear an apron. They'l have been told "PinkSweetSugar is whining again, clearly her child's not allowed to have any fun, so let's make sure she gets plenty of messy play time that she won't be getting at home."

Nursery/EYFS/KS1 equals messy clothes. Relax.

it is supposed to happen weekly, that's what fun is for.

Dress her in clothing that is appropriate for nursery. That means clothing that she is allowed to play and get messy in.

Long frilly skirts
Open toes sandals
Pale pink anything
Tights
Suede shoes/boots
fake fur anything
Dry clean only anything
Un hotwashable anything
Brand new anything
Expensive anything
Irreplacable anything

DO dress her in

Old t shirts, ones that don't matter if they get stained
Old trousers/shorts, ones that don't matter if they get stained
Old shoes, ones that don't matter if they get stained

If she had got hold of the scissors and lopped her hair off, then I would be worried about supervision levels. I think you're overreacting.

The reason they are not stopping her playing with felt tips is because she is having fun with them, not because they aren't supervising her.

My daughter comes home every week with half the sandpit in her shoes, clothes covered in paint and glitter in her hair & she loves it!!!

How old is she? You cannot truly expect someone to be sat by her side telling her to hold her pen right so as not to ruin her precious clothes?

How old is your DD and is she having a good time when she is there? Does she come home happy?

I love it when my DD comes home from nursery covered in paint (especially when I find a little bit in between her toes as she has been foot painting!)
Not quite sure how much you pay for nursery has anything to do with her coming home with felt tip pens on?

There's been loads of it this week.

Why does her getting felt pen on her clothes make you question whether she is being properly supervised? I could do a whole lot of damage to my clothing sitting at a table with a felt pen and I'm an adult!!
