to not buy products for my "intimate area"

I was in Superdrug about a month ago and they were doing a 3 for 2 offer on toiletries for womens' "intimate area" eg soap, wipes, talc, deodorant. I couldn't believe how many women were throwing them into their basket. After this, I've made a habit of checking the bathrooms whenever I go to someone's house and these products do seem to be in the majority of them.
I'm now starting to get a bit paranoid because I don't use them. I do have a shower and change my undies every day. I'm so skint at the moment, AIBU not to fork out for fanjo toiletries?

Buy NEW Flecky Minge for that embarrasing vulval itching!

Dove soap (pH neutral) works fine as fanjo cleaner. Why would anyone fork out for a special fanjo wash? Some people have more money than sense Hmm

Euphemia, I'm with you sister!

years ago before toiletries marketing ploys were invented, fresh air and perhaps the odd scrub with a pine cone was all that was needed.

Scrub with a pine cone ??? Shock

I mean sure, if that's what floats your boat, but what difference is that going to make to your downstairs hygiene?

vaginas and vulvas aren't ph neutral though - they are slightly acidic (healthy is between 4.5 and 5 ph) so actually, neutral ph soaps aren't that good.

Generally though the vaginal secretions should be enough to make up for the ph neutral soaps (as long as you're not inserting them!) but the perfumes in them may cause thrush and other infections.
