Was trying to get my buggsie and a basket of shopping through the ownservice till @ Morissons.

It was a tight squeeze, but I managed lol.

I was packing up my wears and singing Inci Winci Spider to my littley and she waswaving her bottle around and a wee bit pf the juice splashed this old dearies white jacket. OOooops.

I apologised a lot. and gave her a babbywipe to help clean it up, but she looked with discust at my lil girl.

She's only 2, dontcha think people shud be more tolerant?

Shud I of said something to her?

I'm right bothered by this 3 hours after the incident.

Sad

OP

I am picturing you as a bonny young lass with a adorable bairn don't let these old mawkers put you down.

It was a simple enough accident for which you apologised.

Don't fret regarding you know whos remarks she is prone to hot flushes and has a moustache so therefore identifies with the elderly

BitOfFun · 06/06/2011 18:33

Hilarious.

usualsuspect · 06/06/2011 18:35

is it hot in here?

loiner45 · 06/06/2011 18:38

actually

it was the teeny weeny yellow polka dot bikini that was itsy bitsy, not the spider! Only American spiders are 'itsy bitsy' or 'eency weency', British spiders are Incey Wincey.

'tis a well know fact much debated on the interweb in days of yore....

needanewname · 06/06/2011 18:43

Very good OP!!!

whatsallthehullaballoo · 06/06/2011 18:44
Shock

I am confused.....is this real or not? Please post back a comprehensive sentence so that we can identify with you and not think this is a regular on a wind up?

ILoveDolly · 06/06/2011 18:49

seriously guys I would expect more from Mumsnet. The snobby 'go to Netmums' thing USED to be a joke. You should be ashamed of yourselves - you all come across like a bunch of hair flicking school bullies. Get a grip. The OP might not have excellent grammar but at least she is thinking through her moral dilemma.

I thought this finished about an hour ago. Grin

ilovesooty · 06/06/2011 18:53

Exactly. What "moral dilemma"?

BitOfFun · 06/06/2011 18:54

Moral dilemma Grin? Ah yes, the challenging ethical decisions that surround toddler juice etiquette. We've all been there.

Honeydragon · 06/06/2011 18:55

no no no, the op didn't have less then excellent grammar!

you mean

the grammar was less then excellent because she got juice chucked on her.

mrsdonkeybucket · 06/06/2011 18:55

Frootshoot or not to frootshoot.

That is the question.

Honeydragon · 06/06/2011 18:57

whether it is nobler to suffer the sausage rolls and doughnuts.....

ILoveDolly · 06/06/2011 18:59

sometimes, at home with small children, this is the biggest moral dilemma I come across - we can't all be Emmanuel Kant! I was just a wee bit shocked at the initial reactions to this. I used to post on MN a lot, but it just gets so bitchy sometimes.

Honeydragon that reminds me of the old 'where's your grammar boy?' joke

I am not speculating on the FruitShoot thing as I have a school age child who lives for the disgusting things.

beesimo · 06/06/2011 19:01

What are these fruit shoots you all keep talking about?

diabolo · 06/06/2011 19:01

Ladies - if the OP is real, some of you are being a bit horrid and cliquey.

Couldn't you show her the error of her ways in a friendlier manner?

TeamLemon · 06/06/2011 19:02

I am ROTFPMSLCOPTER at this thread.

Old bidder Shock

That's venerable wise elder to you, OP

hope she comes after you with a bottle of red wine when you've got your best white jeans on

Grin
TeamLemon · 06/06/2011 19:04

Emmanuel Kant?
Is that Brian's brother? [old gimmer emoticon]

Pagwatch · 06/06/2011 19:04

I want to post on here but I can't articulate clear thought.

diabolo · 06/06/2011 19:06

pagwatch I'm not that friendly (and clearly full of hot air). Blush

ILoveDolly · 06/06/2011 19:07
