Xenia, your piss poor excuse of justofication for your vile deterministic views of 'poor people' are not being justified, you are just spouting nonsense.
Maypole, I shall answer WHETHER these COURSES are SUITABLE to be studied at degree level or WHETHER they would be best spent taring (?)on the job or at college -
Hairdressing-salon management ? University of Derby - reasonable to be at degree level, but could be done on the job too, could definitely form part of a larger management degree very credibly.
Fashion-and-lifestyle products ? Southampton Solent University - Definitely, it is an art.
Watersports science and development ? University of Portsmouth Yes, it is very complex and is a science/tourism relevant degree.
Sports-surfaces management ? Glyndwr University - a bit odd I agree, but on considering, think stadiums, some people do need knowledge about these things, I imagine this is very technology based rather than being about cleaning astroturf or suchlike.
Contemporary circus and physical performance ? Bath Spa University - Yes , 'tis a branch of drama/art.
Equestrian psychology ? Glyndwr University - I have a horse, she could do with a psych :)
Cruise management ? University of Plymouth - A huge and complex industry with plenty of potential to earn. Why should experts not be trained at Uni!?
Surf science and technology ? University of Plymouth - We had a look at this degree at work (I work in a med school) as we all throught this was a bit of a joke. Looking more closely this is a really interesting degree which combines marine sciences with human use and technology, along with tourism and sports science.
Pop-music performance ? University of East London. Why on earth not!? They are not going to be doing modules on how to sing a chorus you know? It is about training experts in the industry.
Sexual-health studies ? University of Central Lancashire. Are you joking? This is hugely relevant, family planning, education etc, etc.
And ALL of these degrees will train students with degree level transferable skills. Take a look at your own education which is obviously lacking in spelling, before you start slagging off other people's educations.
