That's it really. I've fantasised about having a cleaner for ages but have finally taken the plunge and she is starting on Thursday. I've met her and am really hopeful that she's going to be great (though am preparing myself for teething problems etc.)

I feel that this may transform my life!! (not to be over-dramatic or anything) Grin

Simliar agreement to me Ben10.

Don't be embarrassed, that's what the cleaner will be getting paid for. I'm sure she'll help you get back on track in no time.

TBH, we're generally quite tidy people but I do think having a cleaner helps me to keep even tidier IYSWIM. I'm not doing the whole "cleaning for the cleaner" thing but I do have a general tidy round on a Wednesday evening just to make sure that it's easier for her to clean on Thursday and that's she not wasting her time doing unnecessary jobs. Those 2hrs are very precious Smile.

I have a cleaner Grin I've finally taken the plunge after talking about it for the last 3 years! 3 hrs per week at £9 per hr. Am sort of hoping it'll be life changing Blush

ipredicttrouble, you have convinced me I need a cleaner too! I've been thinking about it since I started working full time 7 years ago.

So thank you Grin I love this thread

I can 100% confirm, now that DD2 has arrived (I have a 13 mo old & a 2wk old) that getting a cleaner is definitely one of the best, most sensible things I've done! I have enough on looking after 2 DCs, keeping on top of the washing & keeping things generally tidy without any extra cleaning.

Just need to get a dishwasher now Smile.

Well, ipedicttroubleI too can now concur that getting a cleaner has been the best thing (barr producing my two sproglets!) I have ever done.......and they've only been here once! Here I am, having spent a lovely day with the kids, the house is clean and I'm not stressing about dirt lurking in corners and not having the time to do owt about it Grin
