Love the new series and the Adam Ant parody. I'm going back to a proper 9-5 job on Weds and while missing ds will be top of my downsides list, missing the new series of Horrible Histories will definitely be on there as well...

Doowrah · 30/05/2011 18:12

HH Bloomin' marvellous have giggled uproariously with my DS at lots...kids entirely wrapped in brown paper aka WWII. They must have such fun making them...and yes I am quite into the guy that does the Aztec God/ X factor contestant bit- have managed to drag ourselves out for the arvo tho'.

FoofffyShmoofffer · 30/05/2011 18:12

I love the Viking rock band. "We're gonna set this town alight, literally"

maypole1 · 30/05/2011 18:13

We Are going to see horrible histories live next month so jealous of my oh who is taking my lo

MissMarjoribanks · 30/05/2011 18:14

I've videoed (PVRed?) today's new episode to enjoy with the ironing later.

DS is only 17mo so I don't really have an excuse.

FoofffyShmoofffer · 30/05/2011 18:14

Maypole - Is it the TV cast?

Hassled · 30/05/2011 18:16

The songs are amazing. One of them was in Gavin and Stacey (Smithy's thick friend). I love HH with a passion.

FoofffyShmoofffer · 30/05/2011 18:17

Respect to MissMarjoribanks Grin There is no shame.

my guilty secret was discoverd by dh-loafing around watching HH singing along-whilst supposedly being housewifely.glad im not the only one ,can see the boyish charm of mathew, curiously think hes cute when hes his most camp

edam · 30/05/2011 19:42

New series started today at 5.15. Am a bit worried there was no stupid deaths sketch - that's one of my favourites!

Georgimama · 30/05/2011 20:36

The "stupid deaths" segment of HH is probably DS's favourite thing in the whole world at the moment. He is 4. I feel only slight shame.

And we have done nothing today except watch HH. And I have MNed. In fact I have been a pretty shitola mother today all round, by my standards. DS thanked me for a great day at bed time.

ThatVikRinA22 · 30/05/2011 21:34

should i now admit that my 'kids' are 19 and 13? i watch HH on my own....

OP posts:
Georgimama · 30/05/2011 21:37

I think 3/4 of the humour and references in HH goes over the heads of its target audience. I mean DS is on the young side for CBBC anyway, but most say, 7 year olds surely wouldn't recognise the King Charles II song as being inspired by Eminem's "My Name Is". Would they?

maypole1 · 30/05/2011 21:40

Not sure really let you know when they have been, can't see why it shouldn't be

lazarusb · 30/05/2011 21:58

Also have a look at 'Sorry I've got no head' CBBC 5pm on Fridays. It's excellent!
I find myself singing HH songs at school - the children love it! Hmm Smile

edam · 30/05/2011 22:01

Sorry I've Got No Head is v. v. good, I agree. Love the 'documentary' about the lad on a remote Scottish Island, especially when he did an excruciating exchange trip to the Alps.

perplexedpirate · 30/05/2011 22:14

I love HH and Sorry, I've Got No Head. So glad DS is getting to the age where we can enjoy the same programs. No more In the Bastard Night Garden...

justhavintheone · 30/05/2011 22:32

please dont let there be no more stupid death, i love it so x

lazarusb · 30/05/2011 22:33

Just watching HH on iPlayer - yes the dcs are in bed and dh is doing this Hmm! I will admit to a certain 'quickening' at the highwayman sketch Blush

I know it's wrong but I'm only human! Grin
