To suddenly want to have loads of facebook friends, even though

I bang on about hating facebook. I'm only on there so I can nosy at other people's profiles and stuff and I never actually do anything on facebook, like write on the wall thingie.

But I have 8 friends on there and I am starting to feel a bit of a billy no mates

So how many facebook friends do you have?

i have about 100 but most of them are from school who i havent seen in over 10 years.... i have 1 friend on there who i atually see :(

I have 147 but I go through periods of deleting people who piss me off and adding them when I have got over myself a few months later! I don't do much on it myself to be honest, I don't like reading about what people have had for dinner or where they have been but I do like keeping in touch. I do know all the people on my FB though, they are either friends or family and I don't think I will be adding many more.

Yanbu.......having only 8 friends means you aren't able to nosy interact properly. I have too many 'friends' and occasionally have a cull of the boring ones. I keep the ones that update their status a lot even if they're annoying coz it gives me something to look at when aibu is a bit quiet :o

Sometimes I have 184, and sometimes I have 185. It varies day to day. Up, down, up, down. Who can't decide whether or not to be friends with me? Why can't they make up their mind? Do they get rid because I irritate them with my constant updates about Amazing Brand New DS, and then add me again because secretly they can't get enough?

Seriously, this is driving me nuts. If I could work out who it is I'd delete them.

just checked mine i have 149, and i do see some of them, but as like some people lots are people i went to school with, a few exs on there to. It is good to have a nose.

I'm not overly selective.....draw the line at strangers of course. It's quite amusing having old school bullies friends on your friends list to see how crap marvellously their lives have turned out :o

I've got 250 'friends' Most of them I think are MNers.

1237 but i play mafia wars and you need loads to get along with that. But have made some really good friends through game playing.But seems to make me quite a saddo doesn't it! Only about 200 are real friends and family.

I get rid all the time ...and I love to hide status up-dates ,gives me a feeling of not caring what other people do /or say

Boredom will find me sneaking around their pages sometimes though ...

YABU. I have 238 'friends' at the moment, but many of those are ridiculous, haven't-seen-them-since-school-and-am-unlikely-to-again connections. I have been guilty of accepting fairly tenuous requests, but never randoms or inappropriate ones (i.e. kids I teach). I've ignored colleagues in the past but they have kept badgering me. I also find that I get requests instantly from people I've met once, and rarely see them again.

I have recently become happy with the 'unfriend' button. It's given me real satisfaction to delete three people who can't be arsed to make any effort in RL. I'll be deleting most of the above-mentioned types just as soon as I can be arsed get around to it!

360 odd.. About 15 of them I actually see with any regularity ( and 10 of them are my family!)

I should delete the rest really but, ya know, NOSEY !
