What did she win in the end?

Geepers · 24/05/2011 19:19

I thought she was brave. You are never going to win large amounts of money unless you gamble.

she won £10,000 - but who knows how they would react when put in that particular situation. the guy on the day before dealt early and then would have won the £250,000. did anyone watch it - how much did he deal at?? thanks

ApocalypseCheeseToastie · 24/05/2011 19:19

Only saw the end. When she turned down £140,000 we started chanting £10,000, £10,000 ...

She deserved it for her stupidity and her greed.

Imagine risking £130,000 on the toss of a coin?

vickibee · 24/05/2011 19:25

i reckon she wanted the prestige of winning the 1/4 million, still ten grand isn't bad for an hour's effort. I would have dealt probably at 45 as I am far too cautious

prettywhiteguitar · 24/05/2011 19:26

exactly my point me and dp were open mouthed at it she clearly wasn't desperate enough

fancy throwing away £130,000

who can afford that ????

OP posts:
prettywhiteguitar · 24/05/2011 19:26

I think I would have dealt at £45,000 too

sharbie · 24/05/2011 19:27

Grin at her buddhist wedding too - aren't they famously anti-material ?

the guy yesterday went at £8k kyle

sharbie · 24/05/2011 19:28

materialistic

fatlazymummy · 24/05/2011 19:29

It depends on how much you need the money. Some people see it as their only chance to win big money. They may have the attitude 'I came with nothing, I may leave with nothing'. Some people just want to gamble for the thrill of it. Others decide on a set amount and deal once they got offered that amount. Everyone has different attitudes to money.
Personally I hate the programme so I try not to watch it [or be present while it's on].

knittynoodle · 24/05/2011 19:31

What pisses me off about most of the contestants on DOND is that they talk to the banker like shit. They complain about him. Make threats like 'you wont beat me Mr Banker'. Roll their eyes when he doesnt offer them what they think they deserve.

And this guy is giving them FREE MONEY. If they get anything more than they arrived with, they should be bloody grateful. The money is a gift.

deepbluewave · 24/05/2011 19:31

OH my- I watched that and missed the very end--

She took 10k??? Seriously??? Stupid cow, she turned down 2 amazing offers!!!!

Id have dealt at 45k, but then she was so lucky to get the other offer- what a greedy cow- hindu/Buddhist- my fat arse.

Does serve her right I am afraid!

sharbie · 24/05/2011 19:33

i said (to the tv) she should take first offer £17k

RobF · 24/05/2011 19:33

So she got offered £140,000 when her 2 boxes were £10,000 and £250,000? That's like betting £130,000 at evens to win only £110,000. Not a good bet.

PinotGrigiosKittens · 24/05/2011 19:34

I could literally kiss you OP! I was watching this Blush and then all hell broke loose and I missed it - came back and Sir Noel of Edmonds was doing his oh so casual chat to camera as people hugged her - and I missed what she'd won. I even tried to google it.

Anyway - she was smug.

So ner!

Icelollycraving · 24/05/2011 19:54

I didn't watch today, the one yesterday I found extremely uncomfortable viewing. The man had some learning difficulties & lost the 250k & dealt at 8k,he & his mum were sobbing.

sharbie · 24/05/2011 19:56

yes it was a bit like that yesterday - £8k is a nice amount though.

vickibee · 26/05/2011 13:15

Where does the prize money come from? who puts up the money, is is C4?

otisdriftwood · 26/05/2011 13:32

She was a silly greedy twat....glad she only got 10,000.
