Get a job, that is :o

I've had really low self esteem for years and job-hunting for me is a nightmare. I've posted on here a few times (under previous nicknames) as I hate it so much, it has made me cry so often.

I had an interview yesterday, which I felt a bit 'meh' about TBH. Went off for another today, same job but different location... Ten minutes before I was due to go in, yesterday's interviewer called to offer me the position! :)

It's a dream come true for me - I've always wanted to work in a library. I haven't stopped smiling yet!

This is the first job I've ever got via a formal application/interview - the others have been little weekend jobs etc, through people I already knew.

Anyway - just wanted to say, I was really starting to believe nobody would ever employ me, but it's finally happened. So, AIBU to say please don't give up, one day it WILL happen!

Congratulations!

Thanks, after 5 years out of the workplace I've just started applying for jobs. There will be round the corner (eventually), and you've made me feel more confident of that.

Congratulations!

This post has made me smile as I am just sat waiting for a recruitment consultant to phone me regarding a job and I'm cacking my pants as I've been out of the job scene for two years and have forgotten all the "lingo" and what the hell I used to do.

Very well done!

Thanks :o

I really recommend volunteering BTW, charity shops etc - I haven't worked in a 'proper job' since 2007, but this gave me some current experience to talk about. :)
