Has anyone ever been 'caught' slagging family/friends off on here?

Not a AIBU ... and just a nosey question really ... but I've always wondered if anyone has ever been 'outed' by a colleague, friend or family member on here when they've been slagging them off?

In years to come ... if I become a MIL - I'll be on here! Wink

Not unless you're my mum, sister, assorted sils, my boss or my mil!! Grin

It is an interesting thought that any of us could be anyone. New and Durham

If your boss sudenly said one day "you have been posting about me again"

It would be a shocker.Would it not?

Sorry - I didn't mean to post this Q twice! Not sure how that happened!

Sometimes I find myself wondering if certain posters are people I know... I'm sure some of them are!

When I was pg I joined an ante natal thread and regularly slagged off my boss. Was then called into the bigger bosses office as the IT software had picked up a rude word at work and seen everything Blush. I still don't know if they could read everything or just what I had written at work or exactly how much they'd seen. I still cringe about it. Wasn't anything TOO bad just a lot of moaning really...
I think the 'bigger boss' slightly agreed with what I'd said anyway Smile

Thanks :)

I do think if anyone made the effort to 'find' anyone on here, they really do have too much time on their hands ... but if a comment/situation in a post struck a chord and someone recognised you it could cause a bit of bother!

I do sometimes think about editing my posts with this in mind ... but then again when I'm really angry I just type and post! Plus - you don't get an honest response to AIBU if you don't include all the facts.

NO but i have been "outed" at work - there's a woman that does our admin for the team and she recognised me - i referred to something quite specific (a project that we were working on) - i work in a charity sector organisation which does a very specific kind of work - and i also referred to my previous job on the thread - in hindsight it was kind of obvious who i was because it isn't a common mix of employment experience (think of someone saying they are now a professional music DJ on but used to be an A&E nurse- it's that random).

no issues from me posting - she collared me in the tea room a few days later!

that was when i decided to stop posting a couple of years ago, my username was also too close to my surname (think duggan, but i'd registered as duggans - really close) and i couldn't figure out how to change it Grin so here i am re-registered. fergie is quite a common name so i hope i don't get outed again!

i try and make sure i post nothing too shameful on here tbh - i figure if i'm recognised i's no big deal Smile

on the other hand, i do remember someone bitching about their sister's wedding a year or two ago, really badly (moaning about location, cheapness of transport, wishing they weren't going, you name it).. but they gave the date ("next weekend" - on a Saturday) and the venue... in the end when you searched for the venue it was the 2nd listing item on Google... lol . i always do wonder if the bride ever found it!!

My DP told me last night that he knew I was pregnant before I told him as I had said so on here on the just shagging thread I started. I an fairly embarrassed by it and that he hadn't mentioned it and DD2 is now 6 months.
