that i didn't know about (because i'm a bit crap at checking these things) but that i was actually in the same pub last night with dh and some mates?

there was a function last night at the pub we were at - bartender told my nosey mate that it was for mothers who blog to meet each other - MIGHT have been MN - anyone know?

was desperate to ditch dh and the mates once i found out, but was a bit shy to head on up...

Yep!

LadyOfTheManor · 22/05/2011 22:21

Yes on Clerkenwell Road. Started at 7.30 and some louts rolled out gone 1 !

bibbitybobbityhat · 22/05/2011 22:21

Yes, it was in Clerkenwell (the area).

methodsandmaterials · 22/05/2011 22:21

It was here. Were you really at the pub?

cornsilks · 22/05/2011 22:21

I think it was a netmums meet up

microserf · 23/05/2011 14:06

God I really WAS there!!!! We were eating at the Korean place 2 doors down and popped in before and after for a drink. Angry with myself, knew i should have gone up and checked it out if you wouldn't have minded me crashing.

Can I say, all of you ladies with the green name tags looked like you were having an excellent time.

We were Grin

Shodan · 23/05/2011 23:32

Oh yes. Grin Huge fun. You should've come on up.

AnnieLobeseder · 23/05/2011 23:35

Oh no! What are the odds! It's a pity you didn't recognise one of the names on the green tags! Oh well, there will be another one before you know it. Please come to the next one.

Valpollicella · 23/05/2011 23:35

Oh Microserf! We would have made you a green badge and give you a glass of prosecco....

CointreauVersial · 23/05/2011 23:39

It was all very alcoholic lovely, so look out for the next one and come along!

Shodan · 23/05/2011 23:46

I believe we're trying to bully persuade methods and Val to organise an autumn meet-up (too long till Christmas). Keep your eyes peeled for that one.

Valpollicella · 24/05/2011 00:03

We might consider it

PM us with bribes

Saggyoldclothcatpuss · 24/05/2011 00:12

IF there is another London meet up, could it please be advertised a bit more? I didn't know until last night, and I'd have liked to attend! Sad

Shodan · 24/05/2011 00:12

What might be considered a suitable bribe, Val?

Y'know, for if anyone felt like bribing you both.

Blatherskite · 24/05/2011 07:31

There were 3 whole threads going on and on and on about it Saggy!

Maybe we could make MNHQ sticky the threads next time?

AnnieLobeseder · 24/05/2011 08:29

The threads were stickied to the top every weekend for weeks before the event. Not sure why we were demoted during the week. But I think it was quite hard to miss!!

Blatherskite · 24/05/2011 09:32

I didn't realise that! But then the current Meet up thread was always in my active convos so I knew where it was :)

Reminds me, I must re-find the Summer meet up one....

Maybe we could get Aitch to mention the meet up in the round up next time?

Blatherskite · 24/05/2011 09:36

Here is the Summer Meet Up thread for those interested.

Blatherskite · 24/05/2011 09:48

I suppose that the thing is, for the safety of the MNers who did go to the meet-up, it can't be advertised too heavily. It needs to be something only a regular poster would know about otherwise we'll end up with every hairy knuckled trucker popping past. I'm sure there are a few journos who would have thought it was an easy way to get a story too...
