To think that my sons friends are gaming too much and to not allow my DS9 the same...

My son is a cracking lad who loves his footie, bike, tennis, drawing, RSPB stuff etc, etc, etc he is also very partial to his DS,|Wii, computer etc, etc. I set limits on his gaming time but none of his friends parents do this and I can't believe how much time these kids spend on their gadgets. One friend in particular is a lovely lad, he's got great social skills, good soh and he and my son get on really well but this lad does little-else but game in his free-time, we encourage alternative things to do but I can't believe gaming is the first and only base for so many young lads lives...it's so sad...

How do you know the amounts of time the boys are playing video games for? I am in agreement with you, I set quite strict limits on DS's gaming and encourage other activities but I wouldn't know how long his friends spend on their consoles.
