I don't want to read your life story. Just tell me whether the OP is being unreasonable or not, then we can make an arbitary judgement and move on.

That is all.

YABU. And rude. If you don't want a discussion don't read it. Reading the same four or five capital letters gets a bit dull after two pages.

Thistledew · 20/05/2011 07:26

YABU. How boring would that be to read? I was bored, once, as a child. I'm sure I am not the only one. YAB so U. Think of all of us who have been bored before and how much trauma you would inflict by making us bored again. Angry

PrettyCandles · 20/05/2011 07:40

YABU

Consensus.

Thread done. Move on.

OK? Wink

Punkatheart · 20/05/2011 07:43

When I was a child, my mother said: 'YABU!"

'No.' I said. 'YABU!'

'OK' she sighed. 'Maybe YANBU.'

My father walked in and said 'Oh no YABU. Both of you.'

Ad nauseum.

What a boring thread, I am now off to hide it.

MardyBra · 20/05/2011 08:18

YABU. I think it's really bland when someone just posts YABU or YANBU. It adds nothing to the debate. It shows a lack of imagination. Sometimes things aren't totally clear cut. Sometimes personal experience adds an additional dimension.

AmazingBouncingFerret · 20/05/2011 08:22

Yeah... no that would just be a bit crap now wouldnt it.

AnnieLobeseder · 20/05/2011 08:24

YABU. How will errant MNers with silly notions ever realise the error of their ways if we don't explain, in excruciating detail, exactly why they're BU?

IWouldNotCouldNotWithAGoat · 20/05/2011 08:27

YAAT

(You Are A Twat)

sausagesandmarmelade · 20/05/2011 09:08

YABU

The extra details and explanations make the threads more interesting...and engaging

TrillianAstra · 20/05/2011 09:11

YABU

and YABB

boring

TrillianAstra · 20/05/2011 09:13

So, in summary, you are being unreasonable. We want to say why someone is unreasonable and how unreasonable they are.

Quenelle · 20/05/2011 10:11

YABU

That would be boring.

izzywhizzyletsgetbusy · 20/05/2011 11:28

YABU

Now move on.

nijinsky · 20/05/2011 11:33

YABU. Its called "social interaction". "With your fellow human beings".

aldiwhore · 20/05/2011 11:35

I have a friend who I thought WBU, but her friend thinks it me who's BU, when I asked WHY IWBU I got no further comment, it was all rather frustrating....

A voting system would keep everyone happy, you could click U or NU, and I could tell you my life history, experiences, my friend's personal details in an attempt to explain why IANU or why UABU.

Furthermore, when I lurk I like to read more than a selection of abbreviations, because that is dull.
