A box opened today

The Candy Company, St Austell : Clotted Cream Fudge
Made with Real Clotted Cream
Free from Artificial colours, flavours and hydrogenated fat
suitable for vegetarians

but made with Orang Utang houses

or could they tell me WHERE in Cornwall the palm oil (third ingredient, before clotted cream) comes from?

Surely all the ingredients don't need to come from Cornwall just because the company is based there Confused or am I just spectacularly missing the point Hmm

ZZZenAgain · 20/05/2011 07:13

it'll be from Papua New Guinea or someplace like that. Why? Are they claiming all local non-imported ingredients?

Horopu · 20/05/2011 08:13

"but made with Orang Utang houses"

What does this mean?

Crevix · 20/05/2011 08:39

it means that orang utangs live in the forests which are being destroyed by humans wanting palm oil. to make fudge (and other stuff).

poor orang utangs. Sad

Thank you Crevix, that is sad.

Look up a recipe for fudge.
Palm oil does not feature. It should not anyway.

The fudge in question is the stuff being sold in all the tourist offices with the name of the local town on the front and a picture of a Cornish Beach.

Is it too much to ask that it really is fudge made with dairy products rather than this ?
