From what I have seen she ticks so many "MN will judge you" boxes, I can't believe she's real.

This morning finished it off for me; she's driven in, late, bumped up on the kerb, double yellows and the 3.5 year old is in the front seat, dummy in, no seat belt.

other points of note:-

Cold weather, one child in Pyjamas (food stains down the front) and slippers, infant with no coat on.

3.5 year old dummy in (as always), carrying baby bottle of what looked like chocolate milk

all sat in car, on double yellows, smoking

She can't be real surely, - and I'm truly not making it up.

And can you imagine.....a child with FOOD STAINS on their pyjamas??!!
What an outrage. Hmm

Pinkjenny · 18/05/2011 13:13

I take my ds out in PJs on the nursery run, generally with food stains down his front. My 4yo dd loves her dummy.

Smoking and seatbelts are the issues here.

whatsallthehullaballoo · 18/05/2011 13:13

Did she have a wedding ring on??? Was she on her way to the job centre? Did all the children look different to each other? Did she have a disabled badge?

PumpkinSnatch · 18/05/2011 13:14

The kids were smoking? Fucking hell!

yoshiLunk · 18/05/2011 13:15

You have to understand it wasn't just the one thing it was all of them, and it initially amused me that these were just the kind of things that MN are likely to judge someone for, - i didn't actually say that I judge her.

I know Pumpkin no-one else seems to have picked up on this

HalfTermHero · 18/05/2011 13:17

Was she driving a 4x4?

TheDerailer · 18/05/2011 13:17

zukie - take heart, this kind of shit is usually stamped on pretty quickly.

yoshiLunk · 18/05/2011 13:17

I'm sorry that some of your are missing the MN humour in this thread which was initially intended.

OP posts:
TheDerailer · 18/05/2011 13:18

It wasn't funny, that's why. And a quick heads up? MN humour is not usually about being revolting about other parents'

HTH

TobyLerone · 18/05/2011 13:19

Seriously, this thread is taking the piss out of MN for being judgy, as far as I can see it. The OP is not saying she was judging.

Some of you need to remove the sticks from your arses.

squeakyjimbob · 18/05/2011 13:19

doubleyellers?!! THATS AGAINST THE LAW!!

MarinaIvy · 18/05/2011 13:20

We should get certificates, badges AND hats!

My partner and I were on the receiving end of some busybodiness a few months back: partner was sitting with our baby on lap, in a café in the town centre, and the police arrived, having been called and told there was a baby was "running around without shoes and socks". We were cleared when we pointed out 1. baby wasn't capable of running at that time, 2. baby is plenty warm when outside and in the pushchair with blanket around said feet, in addition to which the police must have alreadt known it wasn't exactly a cold day.

I think this is fairly mitigate-y, and I tend to live and let live about most things, but smoking around children, particularly within the confined space of a car, is right out. And seatbelts AWLAYS!

yoshiLunk · 18/05/2011 13:21

thank you TobyLerone - I was wondering whether I had wandered into a different place..
