Archiel- I don't think drawing comparisons between native american genocide and the bnp wanting to 'get rid of the darkies' is a legitimate parallel. Westerners went to America to conquer, I don't think people moving to Britain are out to force British people out, steal their land and make them live on reservations.

Sorry my point was that the Indians were just trying to protect their indigenous culture and would always be supported in that by Liberals. The BNP in their own way are trying to do the same, but are hated by the Liberals - Why? It is just hypocrisy. The majority of the Liberal elite do not have to suffer the consequences of mismanaged immigration. If they did they would change their views. Those with no voice do have to deal with it and are seriously pissed off, that their culture has been totally destroyed without their being asked if that is what they wanted. This doesn't affect the majority in this country but that poor little old woman struggling along Whitechapel road is in a completely different country and she didn't want it, she just wanted to live quietly at home.
Maybe you don't care about the poor and dispossessed of this country but some of us do, in fact I think a large number do. And they are not all "thick" or "racist" That is such a boring brickbat used by Liberals who are well-known for their stupidity. I'm not accusing you personally of saying these things, just a general comment on this thread.

Some BNP supporters are thicker than they are racist, that's for sure.

But having said that, I think a lot of supporters are FAR too willing to spout the "But the BNP say they aren't racist" party line (I saw a lot of sympathisers coming out with this on my brother's Facebook feed around the election last year - and these people were 19-20 years old, it was terrifying). Quite suspiciously so... Wink I believe that BNP supporters are essentially racist, yes - they just happen to be aware, just like Nick Griffin is aware, that it isn't the done thing to admit it.

IDontThinkSoDoYOU · 19/05/2011 14:41

I send back their literature at peak election times with a note saying "Do not send me any of your vile rantings through the post".

Someone has painted BNP in yellow on our bus stop, WIBU to paint (also in yellow) underneath, "are shit".

Read the policies for yourself op and work out if voting for them makes you a racist.

I have always been disillusioned with politics but I will always vote if it means I will cancel out a vote for them.

people who buy into BNP propaganda have never really thought it through and tend to let others think for them..they feel slighted..they blame others instead of looking at the whole picture...

Frequently.

people who buy into Tory propaganda have never really thought it through and tend to let others think for them..they feel slighted..they blame others instead of looking at the whole picture...

Yep

people who buy into Labour propaganda have never really thought it through and tend to let others think for them..they feel slighted..they blame others instead of looking at the whole picture...

Of course.

OP, if you vote for them don't be surprised if people take you for a racist, even if you don't consider yourself racist....

QueenOfFeckingEverything · 19/05/2011 16:07

Where did I say I voted for them Confused

My point is that they are a bunch of Big Racists and that supporting them makes you a Big Racist (or possibly a Big Ignoramus) too and yes, woman I met the other day, that means YOU as well however hard you try to tell me you are not racist [rolleyes]

I think it's incredibly unreasonable to assume that anyone who votes BNP has to be either racist or an ignorant arsehole.

Clearly, they are both.

unclefester77 · 19/05/2011 16:23

ooh sorry QOFE, I misread...arrggh please do not flame. Sorry. I was just saying if, theoretically, you declared support for them it would be unreasonable to think that noone would consider you a racist....

Ohh spooky this I was just telling one of the people at work about my recent encounter with a BNP leaflet dropper. I was passing the door as she started to push the leaflet in I picked it out opened the door and said you can have this back because if it stays here it?s going in the bin.
She tried to lecture me, telling me I was very silly Hmm if I believed that the BNP were racist, that all ?that type of thing? was in the past, and that the other political parties were just saying that because they knew that the BNP were right and would be running the country in a few years.
I laughed at her, I did try to be polite, but I did actually laugh in her face, as she carried on telling me there were the party for people like me, British policies for British people. I pointed out that I wasn?t British, didn?t stop her, so I?m guessing I must be one of the OK immigrants???
What did stop her was OH appearing behind me in his British Army uniform, he come to complain that I?d lost his beret again. Did I mention OH is Indian?
She stopped mid flow and walked away muttering that I seemed like such a nice girl and it was such a shame Shock, more at been thought of as a girl. . . .

Saddest thing was she actually came across as quite intelligent (well except for the drivel she was spouting) well spoken etc.

Afterwards I did think about how little joy she would have gotten on our road, in a row of 10 houses only 2 are ?all white?, one of them are a polish couple and the other I think she?s Israeli, until then I hadn?t realised what a diverse bunch we were, actually hadn?t noticed.
