A close friend of mine said my daughter could have a spare ticket to a school event (I didnt apply for tickets as im working that day). She has now said she has offered it to someone else's child as she didnt think (?) I still wanted to go. Now I have to tell my DD she cant go to this event and I dont know what to say to the so called friend.

It sounds like a misunderstanding to me.

Would agree with SenoritaViva, just a misunderstanding, need to expalin to DD that these things happen

BimboNo5 · 17/05/2011 10:35

How is it a misunderstanding to offer someone a ticket and when they say brilliant thanks very much offer it to someone else?

Can you not get another ticket?

SenoritaViva · 17/05/2011 10:37

Maybe she a) forgot b) thought that meant sounds good, I'll check my diary/ask DD

I don't know, but unless you've done something horrible to her I very much doubt it is malicious. It could have just been a simple mistake.
