AIBU to have made DH go back to the shops?

Today, DH went to the park with DD....it's a short drive away and I gave him a shopping list...on it was "Milk and cat litter" He returned with neither having forgotten.

No worries....I say....maybe you can get themm later when you drive your Dad back to his hotel (FIL came here for dinner and is staying nearby) so DH takes FIL back to hotel in car..comes back wth nothing....so I say "Can you please drive back and get the milk? And a can of coke for me?" I would have gone but am just out of shower and wet haired.

He comes back with milk but no coke....I am so he says "My fault! I will go and get your coke...." wherepon I ask if he can add crisps to the list...no worries he says.

he just came back with the coke and no crisps.

I have made him go back.

Should I be worried? Is this a normal level of forgetfulness?

What, you made him go back for the crisps??? And he did??? He must be very scared of you!

That does sound like a bad memory - if he shows other signs of confusion/fogetting his way to places he's been before etc I'd probably talk to your GP about it.

Alternatively get him to write down your commands so he won't forget anything!! - can't believe he went back for the crisps, my OH would've told me to bollocks!!! lol

I wonder how long you could have kept that going for? Everytime he came back, just make up something extra "What? You forgot the toilet roll??" and see how many times you could have got him to go back. Now that's what I call entertainment.
