to snuggle on the sofa all day watching films and eating chocolate?

Last Thursday I fell down the stairs, and have been left with cracked ribs, a sprained ankle and lots of bruises and cuts!

DH has had to go into work today, and there is nobody else that can come and help me, so it's just me and my 2yoDD today. My shopping is due to be delivered between 10-11am, and I know that there is a multipack of mini cheddars and lots of chocolate in there thanks to DH.

Would I be unreasonable to sit on the sofa all day, watch films, read books to DD and eat all these yummy things? Feeling very sorry for myself indeed!

Sounds fine!

All good from my POV. You are convalescing.

Does DD know that mummy is poorly? I don't think it does kids any favours for adults in the lives to hide things like their own illness and pain. (I'm not suggesting you are, BTW, but I know some people IRL that do and it annoys me!! Pain is not something to be ashamed of.)

I think she does understand Smile She keeps bringing her doctors set to me and putting bandages and plasters on me! She has been very good, sitting next to me on the sofa while we draw, read books and play doctors with her bears and dollies.
