aibu to ask how often you have sex?

if you are married or in a long term relationship. my BF was in a 10 yr marriage were they only had sex twice a year if he was lucky unless she wanted a baby. he says this is quite common he said it was mostly down to her, but takes some of the blame in the end because he just got fed up of being turned down.
i find this to be an alien concept. was married for 10 yrs myself we had sex on average twice a week until things got bad. any info, insight? my bf seems to think its the norm for women to with hold sex i wish to prove him wrong lol.

We have just come out of a bit of a dry patch (snerk!).

ATM it is very often indeed, but for the previous 18 months or so it has been very rare, like once every 3 weeks or so.

I think I ovulated for the first time last weekend (pregnant + BF) and I felt like I was crawling out of my skin I was so horny. DH couldn't believe his luck.

Not wanting to have sex with someone isn't withholding sex, but if you are married to that person and they want to have sex and you don't then you are going to need to have a big talk. Because it isn't fair either way really.

We too rarely have sex on school nights, just too busy/tired with kids and school and work and gyms and all the rest of it. But we make up for it on weekends.
