To think an electrical toy sold in UK shouldn't come with European plug on it?

I live in UK and ordered a child's toy from Amazon UK website. The toy arrived with a power supply that has a European 2-pin plug on it. Is this even legal let alone reasonable?

Buy a travel adaptor and you can use it, not ideal but would work.

Yes. Guess that I can try to get an adapter. Just think it then isn't really as safe for children. But better than me jamming it in shaver socket I guess....

Why would it not be as safe?

isn't it actually safer as it runs on a lower voltage?
