for coming down our road nite after nite playing his music at BEDTIME! His timing couldn't be more wrong.

Hmm

your children go to bed at that time, doesn't mean others do.

SoFluffyImGonnaDie · 10/05/2011 21:05

Tell the dcs he is closing that's his closing time music :)

discobeaver · 10/05/2011 21:06

Is it one of those dodgy vans that sells vodka and cigs out the back? I only read about them on here though, they might not actually exist.

squeakytoy · 10/05/2011 21:06

I was thinking similar actually. There is one comes down our road at 8.30 which I think is bloody late.

SusiaX · 10/05/2011 21:06

We have one that's started coming at 7.00!?! I can't believe they get any/much business at that time.

Fumblina · 10/05/2011 21:07

Mine do! Its just taken me 2 hours to resettle DD (11mo). Angry

SoFluffyImGonnaDie · 10/05/2011 21:07

The ice-cream man outside my school used to sell cigs for 20p they do exist, he probably is one of those why else be out when it's not daytime

nailak · 10/05/2011 21:07

ours comes for the last time after 7

Tortoise · 10/05/2011 21:07

If they are asking for ice cream, just tell them no. I can see why it would be annoying though. Luckily for me no ice cream van comes down my road!

WillieWaggledagger · 10/05/2011 21:07

yes will be weed and single cigarettes

discobeaver · 10/05/2011 21:09

Single cigarettes - maybe stuck into a Mr Whippy in place of the flake!

RedCloud · 10/05/2011 21:09

Have tried the "music means he's run out" line.... didnt last long....

I hate the one that parks on a hill, just beyond the zigzag lines right outside the primary school next to where I work.

It is a right pain seeing past him as loads of parked cars, and the Mums must loathe having to say No to their kids EVERY day!

whereiswally · 10/05/2011 21:10

tbh...our ice cream man pisses me off for coming at 1600 an hour before dinner!!! so I reckon they just shouldnt exsist apart from at the seaside/forest etc :o

RedCloud · 10/05/2011 21:12

PS the vodka/ciggy/weed van would be most welcome at any time however.

DiscoDaisy · 10/05/2011 21:13

The one here always comes while the kids are eating tea. It doesn't seem to matter what time they eat either.
As soon as they hear it they always ask if they can have an ice cream for afters. Even after 10 years of me saying no everytime, they still ask.
Hopeful buggers my kids! Grin

plantsitter · 10/05/2011 21:14

Ours does the same! Mostly I'm annoyed because I'm putting the kids to bed so I can't go and get one.

RedCloud · 10/05/2011 21:19

Plantsitter - thats actually my real reason for being pissed of with him! Terrible timing...

OP posts:
Bohica · 10/05/2011 21:19

Our van arrives just before tea & as he knows I have 3 children in the house so he parks right outside.

The rule is, if we have no lollies in the freezer they can have a lollie for after dinner & the rest of the time is a big fat no.

pigletmania · 10/05/2011 21:34

discobeaver and sofluffy ROFL and pissing my pants, will have to remember sofluffie's ones.
