My 23 year old ( still living at home) brother is a mechanic.

hes promised to look over my car before the mot and do a service, change the headlights and re gas the air con.

Mot isnt due until mid june.

He calls me up yesterday saying he was in the garage buying the parts ( he hadnt mentioned this at all before) and that he could do it this weekend and i needed to give him £150.

I dont have £150 until i get paid. Ive had a ton of extra thigns ive had to pay out this month, and while i have enough money for food and petrol ( just) anything spare has been spent.

He had a huge go at me about managing my money.

"When you live in the real world, instead of with mummy and daddy, and you're paying a mortgage, council tax, water rates, gas, electric, food, household, then you can come to me and tell me how to manage my money so that I can pull £150 out of my arse at five minutes notice."
