PMSL @TIY

My children were only in school 3 days last week, and have piles of uniform, so I haven't washed any either, but it doesn't matter. they have seven sets (apart from jumpers) Blush

TickettyBoo · 08/05/2011 22:15

Who cares? lol. They'll have uniform and a clean lunchbox for tomorrow so what does it matter???

Am a last minute.com person too! :D

bustersmummy · 08/05/2011 22:15

Shit shit shit.

The lunchboxes are in the boot of the car.

They are going to stink to high heaven aren't they?

XH has the kids tonight, so the uniform was his mothers problem

AnnoyingOrange · 08/05/2011 22:15

you slattern

NickRobinsonsloveslave · 08/05/2011 22:19

Love this thread. Hate having to 'organise' school uniforms.

bustersmummy · 08/05/2011 22:20

I hate the pressure of the school uniforms - there's 2 days to get them washed, dried and ironed before they are needed again.

Sparklyblue · 08/05/2011 22:22

My daughter's is spinning in the washing machine as I type, I'm like this every week Blush Grin

OddBoots · 08/05/2011 22:24

I think you are far from alone there, I only did mine today, they're normally done Friday night but the Bank Holidays have thrown me out of kilter.

thisisyesterday · 08/05/2011 22:30

i am so glad i am not the only one!
have found enough uniform for ds1 tomorrow, and shoved the rest in the wash

freeandhappy · 08/05/2011 22:52

Ds's things are in the dryer. I'm screwed if I pull them out in the morning and they are still wet.

bluejeans · 08/05/2011 23:11

Ha - I bought DD two sets of summer skirt/blouse (checked things) yesterday so don't need to find/wash/dry anything Smile

Now if only I'd bought myself some new clothes for work too...

if it makes you feel better I have just realised I have not changed my duvet cover and sheets since the school holidays, they are full of sand and grit(I live in the desert) AND I have a full time, live in maid. I also have a yellow t shirt of unknown origin that has lived in the bottom of my dirty clothes basket for 5 years.

Grin Glad I'm not the only one. I hate Sundays. Sundays, bloody Sundays. Sunday morning I walked the dog and heard my neighbour's children playing their musical instuments together. Mine were still on the sofa in their PJ's looking washed out and grubby and watching repeats of Tracy Beaker. By tea time I was trying to prepare veggies, carve the meat and make gravy whilst getting the youngest DC's to do their homework and empty their lunchboxes. Then I'm faced with greasy trays and tins, saucepans etc. - I'm always bad tempered by this point. Finally get kids to be and have to stay up late to wait for the washing machine so I can chuck the next lot into the washer, ready to be put in the drier at 6am on Monday morning.

Last year there was a period of about 6 weeks where I washed all uniforms on a Friday tea time, polished shoes, did homework/reading, signed diaries, filled in forms etc. and I enjoyed the weekend so much more. I just don't seem to be able to get my act together to do this again though.

I do sometimes cook our roast on a week day though - it's much easier to put a one-pot dish, like a curry or casserole, in the oven on a Sunday so you have more free time.

Right - that's it - I am going to be organised this weekend and prepare everything for school on Friday. YES I WILL! Grin

and, thanks to this post have now stripped bed and found half a ryvita and 2 dead fleas down at the feet end and, I swear this is true, a tiny little dried up cat shit under the bed

jasminetom · 09/05/2011 16:57

and a sock I have never seen before, what's going on? Thinking maybe a Goldilocks scenario where when I go to work someone else sleeps in my bed, sheds fleas and does a shit.
