Last night a party until 5am from the chavs in the top flat....today all the little girls shrieking enough outside that my ears feel like they are going to bleed :(
I wanted to go up to the party to complain, but they have a horrible dog that I'm terrified of at the best of times. The little girls are playing. This seems to just involve continual shrieking....Jesus I am so tired
Before anyone flames me about the kids, they are playing I know but why do they have to just squeal.....god I feel like victor meldrew!!

onagar · 08/05/2011 15:28

elmofan · 08/05/2011 15:28

I think you might need to get used to this as it's almost the summer holidays - lots more screaming kids to put up with

Icelollycraving · 08/05/2011 15:30

I'd kill for a glass of wine!! And a nights sleep....
Neither of those coming up for a while...pregnant & grumpy today!!

muffles earplugs from Boots are cheap and v effective against eg kids screaming, but not hammering or bass music thudding.

aliceliddell · 08/05/2011 15:34

if they don't work in your ears, try shoving them up the arse of your antisocial selfish neighbours.

Icelollycraving · 08/05/2011 15:37

Where do you live?! In teh middle of a student area or something? Poor you, I hate noise at night. :(

Icelollycraving · 08/05/2011 22:03

No! Families & couples, when I bought here it was so quiet & respectful. All of those people have moved & the new people just are ignorant. Makes me turn into a sweary old witch. Sadly properties are not moving at all so will have to just suck it up.
It will be worse with summer :(

I used to live in what was supposed to be a nice, exclusive apartment block (ex dp insisted we live in a city pad - I would have preferred suburbia but hey-ho), but thing is I think a load of students with mummy and daddy paying the rent ended up living there - bloody awful - stimulant-fuelled parties raging on til 10-11AM the next day... Fooking hated it...

Icelollycraving · 14/05/2011 04:46

Bastards. I have actually not managed to sleep at all tonight. Shouting out of the windows, joyous tones of karaoke, how many times do I have to hear someone murdering Gloria gaynor/adele/build me up fucking buttercup???
The flat below them have babies as do several flats, don't understand why they have zero thought for anyone else? Selfish chav bastards.
Bastards,bastards,bastards.

iPod & headphones, tis the only way. And enjoy it while you don't have to listen for the baby monitor.

Icelollycraving · 14/05/2011 05:21

Well, they have just stopped. Think the lambrini must have run out.
It's now light, had a cup of tea & thinking about breakfast.
I wonder how I can actually get through their thick skulls that actually they are selfish?? Give it an hour or two & the dulcet tones of the kids in the building will start. Just when is the housing market due to pick up?!
Is it hard to cut someones electric?!
