staying at my mothers tonight because i am taking the dcs to alton towers tomorrow.
We are going to go out for a meal tomorrow night, so i rang her to say i would meet her there as
A) its on my way back
B) i only have 4 seats in my car

She said 'oh i wanted to have a drink' Hmm 'cant you pick me up'
I said 'no i only have 4 seats so will meet you there'
Her 'well ds1 is only small' Hmm

Is she being bloody cheeky? She lives 200 miles away from us (hurrah), sees the dcs about 3 or 4 times a year, but her main priority is being able to have a drink out.
Fgs she has about 50 weeks a year to drink out! Angry

YANBU. You only have 4 seats. If she wants to drink she can get a cab. Smile

YANBU unless you have a roofrack.

K999 · 05/05/2011 16:31

Good point. Your mother could sit on the roof rack and drink al fresco....Grin

mosschops30 · 05/05/2011 16:32

I do not have a roof rack on my mini Grin

Offer to tie her to the bumper.

BuntyPenfold · 05/05/2011 16:35

I suppose she would impede your vision strapped on the bonnet...

K999 · 05/05/2011 16:37

You could get her roller skates and tell her to hang on. She could buy one of those caps with the straw attached and have a drink that way....Grin

Groovee · 05/05/2011 16:38

You could tie a skateboard to the boot and pull her along on that :o

YANBU. Scateboard.
