Could be worse. YABU

Tidey · 04/05/2011 23:00

Better than a sequinned thong, innit

Dancergirl · 04/05/2011 23:00

It's chocolate, why complain?

I'll have it if it's going.

I love buying up all the sale Easter eggs - yum!

ignatz · 04/05/2011 23:01

Sounds like something kids would like at a possibly reduced price when no one is actually obliged to give anything, so what's the harm?

AmazingBouncingFerret · 04/05/2011 23:01

YANBU, there's no way you could persuade your 5yr old that the chocolate was meant for the parents if it had their name on it! What on earth were they thinking??

mollymawk · 04/05/2011 23:02

But it isn't 3 weeks after Easter yet is it?

Seems very nice to me.

Icelollycraving · 04/05/2011 23:02

Hmmm, was it postponed? Probably got a good discount, but I bet all the kids loved them anyway. Personalised chocolate is still nice I guess, depends on their age & if the mums said anything to them about then being quite late for Easter. Just let dc munch away! Aren't party bags full of crap anyway? I have all this to come.

SarkyLady · 04/05/2011 23:03

Whose names? :)

PurplePillow · 04/05/2011 23:04

Sounds lovely to me, better than the usual tat you normally get in them Grin

RobynLou · 04/05/2011 23:04

they will have got them cheap after easter - clever them imo!

better than more random plastic in the house no?

LittleMissFluffBrain · 04/05/2011 23:07

YABU. Chocolate Easter eggs? For kids? With their names written on it? They'll never like that, what a ridiculous idea. Hmm
Or more likely they'll think it's a brilliant present. Are you just hacked off because you can't get away with scoffing it all yourself as it has 'babychaos' name emblazoned all over it?! Grin
Oh and again - YABU.

edam · 04/05/2011 23:08

What a nice idea. ds would be a very happy bunny indeed to find that in his party bag (pun intended). Grin

Collegemum38 · 04/05/2011 23:10

Beats the usual crap tat you get in them!!

ChaosTrulyReigns · 04/05/2011 23:10

Phew.

I think it's a nice gift. My dds would be chuffed with that and I think it's nice of the parents to go the effort of having them named. Easter was only 1.5 weeks ago wasn't it? They probably prepared the party bag gifts in advance. I bought some Chocolate crispy nests with mini eggs on from Morrisons bakery today and served them to kids who came to tea. They were yum, but maybe I can expect to see a post from the mum about what a weird pudding it was! :)

Well, my ds got an Easter egg as a party bag 2 weks before Easter. Is tha stranger or less strange?

I put mini pots of jam in my ds's party bags once as a last minute addition when I saw a lot of them being sold off in Aldi. That was 5 years ago, and his friend still remember them and talk nostalgically about how brilliant they were!

troisgarcons · 04/05/2011 23:13

Oddest party bag gift my chilkd received was ....a trial sized bottle of aftershave .... he was 9

shrug )))pretentious parents((((

Easter eggs are a cop out for children born at this time of year - saves on imagination!

MangoTango · 04/05/2011 23:14

Aha! I nearly ranted about how ungrateful you were being when it is such a lot of time and effort to organise a kids' party, but I will spare you since it is your own kids' party you are doing it for! Grin I think it's a lovely idea.

ChaosTrulyReigns · 04/05/2011 23:14

Oh I so want jampots now.

Fabulous.

I did cake mixes once.

I didn't know 9yos could do wtf faces.

Hmm Grin

What a brill idea. I am presuming it's got your child's name on it. Obviously my 6 yr old would miss that plastic tat ( can never have enough monster pencil toppers). But I'd be licking my lips waiting until he's gone to bed.

Obviously they might have got them abit cheaper if bought after Easter which might upset the 'counting how much the spent on the party, was it more or less than us?' brigade.

SarkyLady · 04/05/2011 23:15

:)

Although I have recently come to the surprising conclusion that thorntons milk chocolate is actually not very nice.

ChaosTrulyReigns · 04/05/2011 23:15

Do you think I can flutter my eyeslashes enough to get them to do surnames as well?

Grin

ChaosTrulyReigns · 04/05/2011 23:16
