I want Easter eggs in a party bag!!

Punkatheart · 05/05/2011 08:41

Ha to the aftershave! I used to make a blooming art out of party bags. One year I wrote a story and rolled it up in a ribbon. I also gave the chocolate of course. No sweets though. Funny toys too. But an easter egg - what a fab idea! I wouldn't mind a chocolate snowman - who cares if it is out of season!

porcamiseria · 05/05/2011 09:08

not wierd, you are the wierd one for giving a shit about something so mundane

wolfhound · 05/05/2011 09:26

loving the way this thread really reveals the people who don't read the thread before they post!

p.s. mmm choc egg with name on, fab idea.

Champersonice · 05/05/2011 10:13

Sorry if this has been mentioned as I haven't read the whole thread BUT

Easter wasn't even two weeks ago so waddyamean???

thetideishigh · 05/05/2011 10:26

Op, presumably maths is not your strong point, it's only a week and a half since Easter.

IMHO Thorntons chocolate is yummy.

The gift has been personalised for each party child.

A yummy thoughtful gift, egg shaped because the party was held at Easter time, no I don't find that at all strange.

Why do you find it so strange ? Are you looking for some reason to criticise someone in particular and clutching at straws here.

A 5 year old woudn't find it strange, I think that's the point you need to bear in mind.

GandTiceandaslice · 05/05/2011 10:30

Yes. Thorntons chocolate is vile! Grin

I did easter eggs a few years ago for ds. But his birthday was a few days before easter & the eggs were cheaper than doing a bloody party bag!

Val, your {wunk} has made me laugh! Grin

ChocolateTeacup · 05/05/2011 10:52

lol its a great idea and some people should read the thread XD

joyousthings · 05/05/2011 10:58

ROFL AmazingBouncingFerret I totally agree!
YABU OP it was a lovely idea I think and big enough to share.

Mumofaflump · 05/05/2011 12:08

thetideishigh presumably reading the thread isn't your strong point?

OP - I think it's a lovely idea!

FabbyChic · 05/05/2011 12:11

Mumo some only read the OP, and the OP does read like they got one and they were wondering about it.

MangoTango · 05/05/2011 12:24

I think you should go with CarnivalBizarre's original idea of piping DEREK onto all the eggs. Grin

I think the party is in another week and a half's time

TragicallyHip · 05/05/2011 12:54

Read the thread people!

Remember to get one with Tragic pipped on please Grin

ChippingIn · 05/05/2011 13:04

Just goes to show how important reading a thread is Grin I really can't abide people who think their opinion is so amazing and novel they don't need to read what anyone else has said!

Chaos - I think I have mention this before. You are fucking barking!!! Grin

40 kids = no party bags! At the very most a generic one that doesn't matter if you have a few left over. Absolutely, definitely, without a doubt NOT personalised ones!!! You'll have kids not turn up, other kids bringing siblings/friends/cousins and all the names will be wrong... you'll have to find each childs one as they are leaving instead of just handing them the next one out of the box.... barking woman! BARKING!

TragicallyHip · 05/05/2011 13:07

Get in line Chipping, eggs go to me 1st Grin

ellifino · 05/05/2011 13:08

Heh. Funny thread. Yup, great idea. Go for it.

I am doing party bags atm too. Have got mini post-its, one of those pencils that you take the nib out and push it in the back, some stickers, some sweeties, and..... and......

What was the best thing you lot ever got in a party bag?

Can you have a few other eggs that just say somthing generic on them ("Hope you enjoyed the party" :o) for stragglers?
Then if they're not used, you can distribute them to the helpful MNers like me who have made suggestions

ChaosTrulyReigns · 05/05/2011 20:41

Right 43 named ones ordered (including surnames Grin).

4 spares ones with "AIBU to thank you for coming" in case of gatecrashers siblings.

OP posts:
bellavita · 05/05/2011 21:44

How much did 43 eggs cost Shock

ChaosTrulyReigns · 05/05/2011 21:54

£1 each.

Bargain.

(reduced from £3.50 each)

Yay.

OP posts:
frazzle26 · 05/05/2011 22:07

I thought you were going to say it was something from Ann Summers or something like that!! A little strange but still a nice gift.

bellavita · 05/05/2011 22:24

Win win situation all round then Grin

thetideishigh · 06/05/2011 23:17

Oh bog off with "you didn't read the thread" I answered the OP, I hate the "stealth reveal of actual situation" threads.
