to moan at my mum for having to do all her washing?

I've been doing it for the last couple of months since her washing machine broke, hers and my brothers.

I wouldn't mind but she doesn't even seem grateful and ignores my suggestions that my electricity bill could be a problem. I have 4 kids so plenty of my own washing to be getting on with.

hehe, did she moan when she used to do all your washing? Grin

YANBU. Is she planning to buy a new machine, ever?

LoveBeingAbleToNamechange · 01/05/2011 19:20

Has she given any signs of getting a new one?

alarkaspree · 01/05/2011 19:22

Just say you can't do it any more. She can go to a launderette or get her own washing machine fixed.

bubblecoral · 01/05/2011 19:22

Have you said anything to her about it? Does she even provide you with any washing powder?

K999 · 01/05/2011 19:24

Dye it all pink on purpose by accident.....Grin

She can't afford to buy a new one, she is hoping to get one in a couple of weeks when my brother gets a new job.

I did tell her today that it wouldn't irritate me as much if she seemed grateful, she said she acted the martyr said she'd do it herself and then sulked all afternoon.

My other brother isn't expected to help, just me.

Surely she could come round and put it in your machine, so it isn't as much of a hassle for you.

fit2drop · 01/05/2011 19:38

Is it really such a hardship helping out. Just stick her whites in with your whites, her coloureds in with yours and woolys in with yours , therfore no extra loads and just a little extra time folding .
No biggy really is it?

Its only for a couple more weeks anyway.....

Caan · 01/05/2011 19:50

LIke I said I wouldn't mind so much if I thought she appreciated it. IT is the being taken for granted that is really grating and her passive aggressive attitude if I say anything.
