To think that anyone who suggests that Pippa Middleton upstaged the bride is a bit simple?

After all, it isn't as if Pippa said "No Kate, I'm not telling you what I'm going to wear - it's a surprise!" and then walked away sniggering....

To the best of my knowledge, the bride chooses the bridesmaid dresses. OK, the bridesmaids often have a say, but the likes of that awful Liz Jones making snide remarks about Pippa "breaking rules by wearing white" just make themselves sound stupid and bitchy.

The convention is that the bridesmaids wear white as well as the bride, so that they can fool the devil and stop him stealing the bride.

I have no idea how I know that

YANBU - the dress was gorgeous but men would have to have a bit of a thing for mahogony furniture or old leather to think that she looked better than her sister.

I don't think Pippa upstaged Kate, not at all.

Pippa looked lovely, however I didn't really think her dress fitted in with any of the others.

They both looked beautiful, and I cannot imagine that any thought of upstaging was had.

I didnt like the whole penguin waddle look of the dress and Ive always hated that "mermaid" look.

I thought it was lovely-although very few people could get away with wearing it.
It didn't upstage the bride and I haven't been to a wedding where the bride didn't choose the bridesmaid's dresses. Obviously the adult bridesmaids have a big say- but the bride has the final word.

I thought Pippa looked lovely. She didn't upstage her sister, but I think it was unexpected by most that there would be so much talk about her.

I don't undertand evryone freaking out over how gorgeous she was...she looked nice...but not nearly enough to upstage Kate. She was also over tanned imo and her bottom looked...well...too THERE for my liking.

DP very much liked that her bottom was where it was. He was much in admiration of it.

It looked huge in the dress (imo).

Good on Kate for not making her sister wear some unflattering creation. Not many brides would have the confidence to do that.

I thought both ladies looked absolutely beautiful.

When I got married I wanted my sis to have a beautiful outfit, she wanted to look like a bridesmaid (ie sh*t), her mistake!

Did you see Pippa in her green dress for the "do" afterwards. It was stunning. She also looked great today in her white jeans. Probably because she has to be dignified I think Kate has a tendency to look a bit old fashioned but probably not her fault. Her wedding dress was gorgeous though.

I'm never quite sure why Liz Jones thinks she has the authority to criticise anybody else on the looks front, she is a troll and a half.

She looked beautiful, and she did not upstage her sister, they both brought their own style and beauty to the day.

I saw my own relationship with my sister in the way they were together. Pippa just quietly did what Kate needed, a proper bridesmaid and a loving sister.

Pippa herself looked really lovely BUT I'm not getting the fuss over her frock. It didn't seem very "special" and I was a bit "meh" when I first saw it. But she did look lovely, very radiant, shiny hair, white teeth, good skin etc etc but there is no way she upstaged Kate. She was the loveliest bride I've ever seen.

I did find myself thinking, as Pippa walked into the Abbey, imagine having literally millions of people looking at your bottom. That's pretty scary stuff, especially in a white frock - I get self-conscious even getting off a bus wearing white jeans, especially round that time of the month! Wonder if she has a mooncup?

Liz Jones is a bitter old hag who will write anything nasty for a fee bob, we all know that!

Poppa looked lovely, the dress was gorgeous and Kate was a stunning bride! If I was Kate I would have also been happy for my siste to wear such a gorgeous dress.

And FFS what's wrong with her bottom?! We all have em! It looked fine!
