To go on a mumsnet fast to beat my addiction.

Hi, I'm beanlet, and I'm addicted to mumsnet. I am now wasting precious hours on here every day and watching both work and playing with baby spiral away down the drain.

It was OK when I worked out how to do a proper leechblock of mumsnet on my computer courtesy of Firefox - but now I have an iPhone, and I can't block Safari (unless DH takes remote control of my phone...)

I have decided that the only way to break my addiction is to go on a fast from mumsnet until 1 June. And I thought I would harness the collective screech of Britain's harpies Grin to help keep me on track.

So: if you see me on here at any time in the next five weeks, feel free to threadjack and give me the foulest mumsnet flaming you can devise.

That's me, over and out - I'll be back in June to tell you if it worked, or if I have, instead, developed an overwhelming urge to buy Heat or taken up smoking or something.

xxx lovely harpies

I was thinking of doing the same thing.

I think I probably should too but ..... (I don't want to!)
(my DH reckons I have an addictive personality, I said there are worse things to be addicted to. His response wa to come out with a list of my previous "addictions", family history, sudoku, jewelery making ....

Good luck... there's suddenly about 48 hours in everyday when you do it [bugrin]

I should do it with you... but I'd miss everyone too much!

Maybe we should as MN to put a block on your name so that you can't namechange and trick us into letting you chat to us?!
