It was freeeezing but I was at the beach with a colleague. Neither of us had brought suits and it was pretty crowded, but being adventurous sorts we stripped to our (opaque!!) undies and dived in.

God it was cold, but invigorating! Anyone else?

I watched people swimming at Littlehampton a few days ago, they seemed to be having a huge amount of fun.

was in teh sea North Devon on Thursday, freezing but fun in the surf.

Yeah, most people were in wetsuits, but us less far-sighted types made do with bra & pants :)

Yes - my 7 year old and 9 year old - and quite a lot of other people on the beach....(Bournemouth).

I went in as far as mid calf - that was definitely enough for me!
