I feel all nostalgic thinking about Texan bars and parma violets, we also ate candied cigarettes complete with red tips and after a few pretend puffs they were munched down with much enjoyment. I was born in the late 60's Anyone else have any candy nostalgia?

Mumofaflump · 24/04/2011 16:30

Oh! And Spira bars.

MissPaintyOeuf · 24/04/2011 16:32

Ice cream flavour Chewits. Rain-blo and (I think) Gold nuggets bubble gum; I had a bit of a gum obsession cos my parents wouldn't let me have any. Rainbow Drops. And, a few years later, mega/sour Warheads that were either hot and spicy or really sour.

MissPaintyOeuf · 24/04/2011 16:32

Spiras. I miss Spiras. Mumofaflump it sounds like you're a similar age to me.

ilovedjasondonovan · 24/04/2011 16:41

Mojos, when they were 2 for 1p!!
Also liked flat circle lollies on sticks, I can imagine the taste now. Can't remember who they were made by though.

Vallhala · 24/04/2011 16:45

Bazooka bubble gum, shrimps, Mojos, black-jacks, Spangles, Caramac bars, fruit salad and lucky bags.

Anyone care to guess when I was born? :)

I am 48 and remember mojos. Also remember when they started bringing out the "expensive" bars of cadbury chocolate ie Old Jamaican rum and raisin, Ice breaker, and there was one with a gingham wrapper that had biscuit and raisins in it.
We used to buy rainbow sherbert and rainbow or cola pips from the corner shop.

chrisonabike · 24/04/2011 17:30

Cabana bars from childhood and Nerds from early teenage-hood. Care to take a guess? Grin

marriednotdead I loved Bovril crisps!

chrisonabike · 24/04/2011 17:32

trubshawe · 24/04/2011 17:41

Nutty bars - why did they stop making them?!!
Strawberry and Cream Blobs
Chocolate-flavoured Hubba Bubba ( you could blow a bubble the size of your head)

I found 50p on Weymouth beach in 1977 and bought 5 mars bars.

God I feel old now!

MissPaintyOeuf · 24/04/2011 18:02

Hubba Bubba! That's the name I was trying to remember. DH swore blind it was Bubblicious, but I knew that didn't sound right.

bruffin · 24/04/2011 18:07

Just remembered Coffee Walnut whips.
