Correct me if I am wrong but on google home page on certain anniversaries they have a logo to celebrate them. Recent ones first man in space and world something day (cant remember quite what) etc
Now this is where I need your help
I am sure St Patricks day,St Davids day, The prophet Mohameds birthday and even Mark Twains birthday have been have all been featured
Where was St Georges day, shakespeares birthday and Easters logos?

I think you are over thinking things Mike.

Google tend to only put on secular holidays/anniversarys. If they did St. Patrick's day that'll be because it's very widely celebrated in the US - mainly for the drinking, not the religious bit!

Apart from actually, during the Christmas season they did a nice pastiche type logo including some Christmassy looking things, something Hannukkah-ish and something Hinduish looking (I don't know what the festival would be) - very inclusive.

HellonHeels · 24/04/2011 09:48

Not sure I get your point. Why would alleged Zionists mark the Prophet's birthday?! Confused

dawntigga · 24/04/2011 09:49

Hahahahahahahahahaha

You know they've done St George's day before right?

I'm really struggling to see the link between the creation of the state of Israel and the banner at the top of the Google home page. I've looked and looked yet still I can't see a Star of David.

WTF are you on about?

beesimo · 24/04/2011 10:34

Don't starts summat you can't finish OP there is enough rubbish on the internet about Jewish people without getting gammy on here.

WinterOfOurDiscountTents · 24/04/2011 10:37

There was a combined Google doodle for Shakespeare's birthday and St George's day last year. Scroll down to April 23 here. And they did St George's day in 2009 too. I can't be arsed to look back any further but MikeOxStiff, you're talking out of your arse.

OrangeBernard · 24/04/2011 10:43

Do fuck off. Its far too nice weather for racist trolls

TurtlesAreRetroRight · 24/04/2011 10:54

We had a thread on this yesterday. Without the racist undertones though. Life was simpler yesterday.

Come back on St George's (May 2nd this year) with a more reasoned argument. Or don't bother. I'm not fussed.

GitAwfMayLend · 24/04/2011 11:06

Mike I am sure doesn't realise how much of a div he sounds by saying zionist elite celebratting Mohammed's birthday.

ohmyfucksy · 24/04/2011 11:12

Surely no one has used the phrase 'zionist elite' since 1937?

sayithowitis · 24/04/2011 11:16

storyline, great acting, couldn't believe how quickly the end seemed to come around! here might aprtially answer your question.

TrillianAstra · 24/04/2011 11:19

Zionist elite? [buhmm]

Maybe it's just that, being Google and knowing a lot of things, they knew that it's not St George's Day yet.

AnnieLobePassoverSeder · 24/04/2011 11:22

Google are run by a zionist elite? Goodness, I'm Jewish and didn't even know that! More fool me. Hmm

SuchProspects · 24/04/2011 11:25

Is there a mumsnet acronym for YABU And A Little Unhinged?

Tee2072 · 24/04/2011 11:31

I will grant you that the 2 people who invented Google were raised in Jewish homes, although apparently not very religious ones.

I doubt, however, that either one at this point worry about what the graphic is on the home page being too busy running a multi-billion dollar company.

ChickensHaveNoEyebrows · 24/04/2011 11:32

I just had to look up zionist elite. Weird turn of phrase.

EvenLessNarkyPuffin · 24/04/2011 11:37

Yup. That Zionist elite and their pro Islamic stance.

You might want to read up a bit before you talk to the grown ups.

MikeOxstiff · 24/04/2011 12:56

I dont know who the zionist elite are but they and the global elite and the New world order are behind all the worlds troubles

You all should listen to conspiracy theories more often

JohnStuartMills · 24/04/2011 16:48

What religion other than Christianity are St Patrick and St David from again?
