Me and dp took the minieggs for a nice walk along the river yesterday, lovely sunshine, birds singing. Etc and so on

Kids were running ahead, collecting pretty stones, leaves and suchlike. As kids do.

Halfway down the path they suddenly stopped, me and dp hurried on to see what was going on, when we caught up with them we were met by another family blocking their path in what can only be described as a sinister and threatening manner ! We asked them to move and they just glared back at us.

The mother in the group spoke to the dad and kids, quite a conversation was going on by then in a language we couldn't understand. They shouted to more of their group to join them, more and more of them came running down the hill until about 30 were blocking our path.

Feeling intimidated, we had no option but to turn round and walk back Sad

Fucking sheep, baaaaa'ddddd at our retreating backs i'd bloody love to know what they were saying about us Angry They ave won this time, but next time, i'll be ready for the oversized puffs of stuffing

Oh, feeling confused, and maybe a bit slow... Were they actually sheep or people? [don't get it]

Should have barked at them. Sheep are evil geniuses, Chickens is right. They are also suicidal cowards. Rarrgh them and they will crap themselves and leg it. Possibly not all in the same direction though.

I'm telling you, sheep are total bastards. Just look in their hideous, evil beast eyes.

The whole thing sounds very bizarre. What language were they speaking? Did you try to strike up a friendly conversation? Where was this?

Next time take a flask of mint sauce and wave it menacingly until they go away.

You must be feeling grateful you weren't lambasted....

Next time, buy several jars of mint sauce and take them with you. When the sheep come round, take out a jar and wave it at them. They'll run.

i agree with Lynette - surely you could have tried to converse?
Not in English, but you could have picked up a couple of words of their language in the time, maybe said it friendly?

We were held hostage on a country road by a bunch of sheep once. The rams had giant swinging bollocks which were very intimidating. Bastards.

Evil fucking things. Thought it was bad enough when we got chased by ducks and a bag of my shopping ended up in the water as I attempted to save myself and left the kids to save themselves

But sheep ??! Ffs Angry

I'm not sure how helpful pretending to be trapped inside a big box will be when attempting to get past a flock of evil sheep, Katie.

oooh look, now I'm trying to walk against a really really strong wind...
