boosmummie · 17/04/2011 17:06

Very. It's Supper....Grin

Goblinchild · 17/04/2011 17:06

Are you a person of the North?
Because it's one of those linguistic divide issues.

EvenLessNarkyPuffin · 17/04/2011 17:06

Yes

ShirleyKnot · 17/04/2011 17:07

Are you einstein1 or whatever?

I call my evening meal Susan.

borderslass · 17/04/2011 17:07

Evening meal is dinner.

ColonelBrandonsBiggestGroupie · 17/04/2011 17:07

YABU - just be pissed off with the entire Northern working class, why don't you? Grrrrr.

SwearyMary · 17/04/2011 17:07

We have tea. Sometimes we have dinner too and very occasionally we have supper. There is different tableware for each meal and we each have a proper napkin. Dinner requires at least 5 courses, Tea is usually two whilst supper is a one plate meal.

Who really gives a flying fuck? Not me Grin

purepurple · 17/04/2011 17:07

YABU
It is dinner, not tea Grin

bemybebe · 17/04/2011 17:07

I thought 'Tea' is a five o'clock affair and 'dinner' is a proper meal taken later in the evening (7-8ish)... Have been inviting people out for dinner as far back as I remember. Please educate an illiterate foreigner. Wink

ThierryHenryismyBoyfriend · 17/04/2011 17:07

YABU it is dinner!

bibbitybobbityhat · 17/04/2011 17:07

Okay - I am an idiot! i read your post backwards! You are right - it IS tea! Blush

Niecie · 17/04/2011 17:08

Tea is when you have your cucumber sandwiches and cupcakes. Dinner is what you eat in the evenings.

YABU

sharbie · 17/04/2011 17:08

my mum calls evening meal lunch

breathing · 17/04/2011 17:08

What is an african country?

Nancy66 · 17/04/2011 17:08

Entree sometimes means the main course though.

Goblinchild · 17/04/2011 17:08

Though it was an African country? Guess that settles where you are from. Grin

hocuspontas · 17/04/2011 17:09

Tea is at teatime (4/5ish)
Dinner is at dinnertime (7 -9 ish)

SecretNutellaFix · 17/04/2011 17:09

Depends what time it's being eaten surely?
Afternoon Tea is served between 3 and 4:30, High Tea (usually shortened to Tea) is usually served before 6 and dinner is after this time, with supper being a light snack after 8.30.
