Appreciate how lucky we are, especially as we got new windows fitted last week.
DH and I went out for the day with DD so the fitters could get on without us in the way.
We were told not to worry about our furniture; they would bring dust sheets and cover everything.
When we got back I was stunned by the state they had left it in. I expected a bit or dirt and dust but this was ridiculous.
- My front garden was full of glass
- There were dirty footprints on my couch
- There was lumps of plaster in DD's cot
- They have removed glasses from my cupboards and left them lying around the house half empty
- But the absolute worse thing is that we found 3 big shards of glass on the floor in DD's bedroom. She is 18 months and at that everything in her mouth stage, it makes me feel sick when I think if we hadn't found them she could have put them in her mouth.
I made a complaint to the council and the window company foreman came round with a bunch of flower. I nearly wrapped them around his head. I really feel like we have been treated like second class citizens because we live in social housing.
