The boy next door (12) is making his confirmation in May and has asked his mum if he will then be allowed to get a bus to the local shopping centre (3 miles away) her response was - he has to prove to her that he can beat up 3 kids and then she will let him go out alone ..... the boy told me this today boasting that he has beaten one child up already & only has two more to go

Errmm how do we know he has reported what his mother said correctly?

Ermmm... sometimes little boys don't tell the truth? While some parents do misguidedly encourage violent 'standing up for yourself', I don't think they are usually the ones that send their kids to confirmation class. A (admittedly smaller) child told me on Sunday that he had thrown a bomb into the neighbour's garden and his mum said "well done".

Well she has three sons - her eldest (15yrs) is expelled from school & spends most of his day smoking out the back playing music . Her youngest (10) i have had to get my ds to stop playing with him as he has broken windows in four houses on my street and the mum refuses to pay for the repairs and the police are now involved .

Actually it is/was a lovely neighbourhood until the house beside me came up for rent And this family moved in .

Well weused to have to get two buses across town at the age of 11 to secondary school (yes most of the class) and nobody gave it a second thought.

NO doubt all of us would now be taken into care for the shame ful neglect our parents inflicted upon us

Those kids are being 'dragged up' by the sound of it. Unemployment benefit claimants of the future no doubt. Lets hope they've receive better guidance at school than they do from their mother!

Well my ds has just had a run in with their 12yr old , my ds was pushed into a metal fence and now has a large cut on his side and the 10yr old has just thrown a broom handle at my porch window and i have asked to speak to the mum , at which i was told "sorry" with a smirk & more or less told kids will be kids i can predict fun times ahead .
