I do not like gravy and to pour it on perfectly crispy roast potatoes should be against the law.

Anyone else have an aversion to the brown stuff?

I remember a friend from Bristol coming to visit when I was younger and took a picture of the board in our chippy as her friends from back home wouldn't believe that gravy was on the menu!

I actually had this conversation with my DC yesterday - where I first worked I had to sit with people in the canteen that had gravy with beans or egg......now that is just wrong

but gravy on your roast dinner or with chips, pie and mushy peas is just so right!

Agree you are mad.... Wink

You can't have roast potatoes without a nice rich gravy to mash them into

Sausage and marmalade. Tempted. (wouldn't it be similar enough to sausage and some sort of fruit chutney?)

FellatioNels0n · 14/04/2011 11:43

We love making sausages coated in honey and soy and grain mustard, or some similar combination involving ginger conserve or cranberry sauce etc, or anything to give it a lovely sticky caramelised coating. Yummy. so I imagine marmalade would wrok perfectly. It's also great for smearing over roast gammon.

PureBloodMuggle

Yes - I think so - sausage and marmalade is very similar to sausage and mango chutney. Brew

YouaretooniceNOT · 14/04/2011 16:36

The gravy train does not stop at goodbyemrschips station

xstitch · 14/04/2011 16:39

Why would you be unreasonable? World would be boring if everyone liked the same stuff. I'm sure there is stuff I don't like that you do.
